We just love inspiration boards – full of ideas, colour and beautiful details. These four were done by Real Weddings Creative Director Nicole for a ‘birds, bees and butterflies’ shoot. Nicole chose to create four different styles for the one theme: casual, classic, modern and sophisticated.

I am completely in love with birds at the moment. Figurines, vinyl wall decals, decorations, stamps and paintings – everywhere I look I see such sweet bird images and I just want to fill my house with them! So you can imagine how I swooned when I saw these divine bird figures from Cotton Bird Designs – they would make such gorgeous cake toppers or table centrepieces!

Birds make a beautiful wedding theme; whether its in the form of lovebirds, bluebirds of happiness, or birds of paradise, they create a feeling of joy and freedom. In our upcoming Style issue, we feature the wedding of Stacey and Shane Kouros, who incorporated birds into their occasion in several ways, including this stunning cake:
