MOOD BOARD MONDAYS

Happy Monday everyone! We thought we would start off our Mondays with a bang and create an inspiring mood board to start the week. Collecting your favourite ideas will help bring your wedding vision to life. Here we used  gorgeous images from Real Weddings that we love to help create a romantic lakeside theme.

Lavishly organised

Want a wedding celebration that is organised down to the last napkin ring, but don’t have room in your budget to hire a super wedding planner? We’ve found the perfect solution that gives you all the tools you need to take the reigns yourself!

Created by A Lavish Affair founder and wedding planner Marisa Welcome, the My Lavish Affair wedding planner kit provides tailored supplier recommendations for the hands-on bride who wants specialist advice without the ongoing presence (or fees) of a personal planner. After a 30-minute personal consultation brides-to-be will be handed a beautifully presented box containing a wedding planning folder and 10-step planning guide, tips and insider knowledge, a wedding trend mood board, styling magazines (including Real Weddings Style!) and some fantastic designer products including a 100ml Vera Wang bridal fragrance, and a Chanel lip gloss!

The Organised Bride

There’s something about the start of a new week that just makes me want to get organised! Monday is a great day for writing goals, plans and lots of lists to prepare for the week and month ahead. Many of our Real Brides have said that the key to a relaxed wedding is being organised, and with so many beautiful products out there to help you, keeping track of suppliers, dates, and prices is easy, and fun!

We love the ivory Filofax Deco below; it’s sweet and stylish, and will fit easily into your handbag so you can take it everywhere – perfect if you’re a gal on the move! American cake maker to the stars, Peggy Porschen, has released a pretty wedding organiser that contains tips, notecards and envelopes, an A6 notebook, and a collection of wedding recipe cards inspired by her books Pretty Party Cakes and Romantic Cakes. And the ever-chic kikki.K has a gorgeous wedding planner full of fanastic features like separate tabs for each area of planning, and articles on bridal fashion.

Keeping your supplier details organised is just one part of the planning process – the other part is keeping track of things that inspire you, and ideas that you like. A great way to do this is to buy a notebook or artist’s sketch pad and start cutting and pasting images, words, patterns and styles that you love. We loved the inspiration book created by one of our Real Brides, which we featured on our “Real Inspiration” page in Issue 13. It’s like creating your very own style bible!

Our style bible, the annual Real Weddings Style collector’s edition is only a month away, and if you visit the blog tomorrow you’ll get a sneak peak of what’s inside! And if you haven’t already, head over to our Facebook page to see what we’ve Spotted on the web lately, and the latest Inspiration of the Week!
