Over the past few weeks, the Real Weddings team have been busily putting together our Winter 2010 issue. Part of this has been creating some truly extraordinary styling features... but I can't give too much away just yet!

What I can say is that we've been catching up with many of our regular suppliers, as well as meeting some new and very talented ones during this time, and I've been so inspired by all of them! Being surrounded by such creative people, and watching them turn our simple ideas into truly beautiful pieces has been simply incredible! 

I'm so excited to watch this issue start to come together... it won't be long now!

While watching the Chanel Fall-Winter 2010/11 Ready-to-Wear show recently, I was so inspired by the "catwalk" - the set designers had created a glacier effect, and it looked as though the models were walking on water! (Click here to see the show).

You too can be daring and different with how you walk down the aisle. Consider the location, the surface you'll be walking on, and how you'll decorate it, then be creative!

 I was particularly excited by a wedding that came across my desk recently, where the bride and groom were married on a swimming pool! That was something a little different in itself, but the couple also decorated the area beautifully with yellow and orange flowers in white pots - it made the cool blue water look even more beautiful. What a great idea!
