Video: Bulgari - All That Glitters

In mid-October, the Real Weddings team attended the spectacular Bulgari Bridal Collection showcase – an incredible evening featuring the world’s most beautiful diamonds, an exclusive collection of couture gowns, and Melbourne’s newest premium wedding venue: ‘The Residence’ at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. As founding editor of Real Weddings, Kirsten MacKelden was lucky enough to have the Bulgari team personally select a piece for her to wear on the night; the stunning ‘Astrale’ 18 carat white gold necklace with pave diamonds!

The evening began with champagne at the elegant Bulgari store in Collins Street, where newly-engaged women had the opportunity to try on spectacular diamond pieces from the Bulgari Bridal Collection. Celebrations then moved to ‘The Residence’ where guests were treated to fine food cooked right before their eyes by accomplished Hyatt chefs in the striking open kitchen.

In the airy indoor ‘Courtyard’ space, models displayed beautiful wedding gowns from designers including Karen Willis Holmes, while in the event space tables were set with individual white floral centrepieces and the finest napery and dinnerware, created exclusively for ‘The Residence’ to enhance the muted, elegant soft furnishings. At the end of an evening filled with beauty, guests departed with a gift bag of special treats including Bulgari’s ‘Jasmine Noir’ perfume, and a copy of the Magazine of the Year - Real Weddings!
