Felicity and Andrew's Wedding at Quay Restaurant

Sydney, Australia

What better way to ensure an engagement ring fits a bride-to-be, than to go shopping with her twin sister. This is exactly what Andrew did when he decided that Felicity was the woman he wanted as his wife.  On a business trip to London he asked Rebecca - or rather her fingers - to stand in for his future wife, ensuring that the ring would be a perfect fit. Back in Australia, Andrew surprised Felicity with a suitcase full of presents he’d bought her on his trip.

Andrew and Felicity both come from Western Australia, but after living in Sydney for three years they’d fallen in love with the city and its breathtaking water views. “Although all our family and a lot of our friends live in Perth we knew we wanted to celebrate our day in the place we loved, overlooking the harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge,” Felicity says.

Felicity felt like she was living a dream as she took each step along the harbourside boardwalk on her wedding day. People stopped to marvel at the bride in her sexy halter neck wedding gown as the waterside breeze played with her veil. She looked a picture of beauty in the dazzling white gown, designed by Diane Lewis, that featured a beaded bodice and long flowing train.

They had all spent the evening before with Felicity at the Park Hyatt, laughing and drinking champagne, while taking in the harbour views. The convenient location also meant they were able to walk to the ceremony which was held on the balcony of the Quay Restaurant at Circular Quay. All eyes were on the stunning bride when she made her entrance as the sun set over Sydney Harbour.

“I remember seeing Andrew and walking towards him,” Felicity says. “It was an awesome feeling standing there in this amazing location with the person I’ve always wanted to spend my life with.” Andrew and Felicity didn’t even have to leave the celebrations or their guests to have their photographs taken.

With the city lights and the magnificent harbour as a backdrop all they had to do was turn and smile. The couple had deliberately kept the flowers and decor simple, feeling Quay’s stylish interior and vistas were stunning enough in their own right.
