How did you and Andrew meet?

"My first impression of Andrew was so positive; I particularly loved his cheerful and outgoing nature. I also thought he must be quite daring to wear a bright pink shirt! Our friendship blossomed during the weekly fitness sessions Andrew and his friend were running.

He persuaded me and my friends to come along and, despite the sweat that would pour down my face during the intense classes, I always thoroughly enjoyed my time around Andrew."

Were you surprised when Andrew proposed?

"I had planned a night out for the two of us for Andrew’s birthday. Little did I know that Andrew had something planned for me! During dinner that evening, Andrew explained how blessed he felt to be with me and said he wanted to express his love in a song.

Over came the manager with Andrew’s guitar and Andrew began to play a rendition of I Wanna Grow Old With You by Westlife. I heard other instruments start to play and soon I was surrounded by music and friends. Everyone was there to witness this incredible moment.

After the song Andrew got down on one knee. It was so special. "I Wanna Grow Old With You" was also the song we chose for our First Dance."

How did you find the wedding planning process?

"Andrew and I had 6 months to plan our wedding. We made an efficient team. We prioritised booking the ceremony and reception venues, our photographer, florist and my wedding dress. After we’d booked these crucial suppliers we were able to take our time with the finer details.

Even though we wanted to host over 400 people at the ceremony and over 200 at the reception I didn’t feel at all anxious in the lead up to the wedding."

Describe the wedding styling.

"In order to evoke a warm, romantic atmosphere, pastel fabrics, flowers and a myriad of candles were used to decorate the reception space. White vases filled with flowers echoing those of the bridal bouquets, sat on grey and white chevron table runners and small stacks of books wrapped in pastel paper gave the tables an element of height.

Le Montage’s garden surrounds, stone finishes and chandeliers worked well with the intimate and romantic tone of the day. Sorbet tones of peach, yellow, pink and purple were the focus for the styling and the bridesmaids’ dresses. My bridesmaids wore long, lilac, chiffon gowns with floral detailing on one shoulder."

What were your wedding favours?

"Our wedding favours were incredibly easy to organise. Moscato is my drink of choice so we had piccolo bottles of moscato rosé and sparkling white wine packaged for our guests. Our stationery was simple yet chic.

The reception table number cards had a floral wreath design which matched the circular garlands we had hung in the space and small, white place cards were pegged onto our guests’ wine glasses."
