Had the pleasure of staying in the villas overlooking the valley over Christmas. Lovely property, luxurious villas, great staff ,.. we had a great time.
Scope for improvement: needs a proper gym, sauna and steam room and icing on the cake will be a pool bar.

Only sore point was when we realised that we were being charged about three times the rates for local ground transport and were not allowed to cancel.

All that aside would definitely go back

Highly recommended Hotel with a nice service. The atmosphere and the surroundings of the Hotel was something I never experienced and I did not consider that something I would be euphoric later on. I did not have too much expectations because going to a mountain so far was not among my most exciting thing to do. But the villa with the pool was ton of fun and very tranquil at the same time which I could not imagine before. Having a free shuttle from the hotel to Ubud then they even pick you up coming back is priceless. I hope I can go back sometimes again.

Absolutely exceptional service at the Viceroy! We loved the buggy system and the service overall! The rooms were amazing with such a good view! I'd reccomend doing at least 2 nights! We were a group of 3 so it was more affordable! We even got a floating breakfast which was yum and so much fun to take photos with! Would definitely go back if I ever went to Bali! The breakfast could be improved with more choice but the lunch and dinner was so delicious! The spa services were also amazing I got my nails done and a hair creambath which I highly reccomend!

Beautiful resort with lots of privacy and great service. View on the jungle, bit away from the crowds to get some real peace and quiet. We had a huge bed and I had the best night of sleep since arriving in Bali.

Stayed at Viceroy during my time in Ubud and I ABSOLUTELY loved it. The ultimate luxury. You feel complete privacy and the food at the restaurant is really good too. The suite was very spacious and luxurious. The staff were cheerful and very accommodating . The hotel is very close to the centre and the hotel provides a shuttle service to and from a few locations which is amazing. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you.

All over everything was good. But if you looking for some yoga classes they don't have any regular classes staff is nice Madi driver we love you! Thanks for trip restaurant in the hotel is nice if u like fancy places also I know it may necessary to do pest control but Im totally against this ugly grey smoke and smell in the view of my room or while I eat in the restaurant it is bad for nature and for all our health please try for this special place bali alternative methods. The rest is wonderful safe clean and like any nice hotels in dubai.

The venue and view of that property are amazing.
Right next to Ubud center in the middle of the jungle, you take your breakfast facing the jungle before going to the gym and enjoy the amazing facilitys. Many machines and weight. On top of that they have a squash court where I had the chance to play with Matt and Amanda the GM

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Viceroy Bali Resort, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience.

The resort is located in the heart of Ubud, and it is surrounded by lush rice fields and towering mountains.

The views from the resort are simply stunning, and I could have spent hours just sitting by the pool and taking in the scenery.

The resort itself is absolutely luxurious. The villas are spacious and well-appointed, and they all have their own private pool.

The gardens are beautifully landscaped, and there are several swimming pools throughout the resort, including a heated pool that is perfect for swimming even when it's cooler outside.

You can order anything, if you wanted. They are so accommodating.
You have easy access to the city, where its peaceful and serene by the pool side at the hotel.

The aperitif bar was fabulous! Cocktails are amazing. Changga was so friendly and we loved the bar manager with the best moustache ever!!!

Also, this place has the best gym in Bali complete with a racket court.

Madi was the best! He drove us everywhere. We love him!

Best hotel in ubud

We stayed 7 days in the Elephant villa. It was everything we expected: tranquil, beautiful, good facilities (bed, bathroom), great service, good food and sometimes even wonderful food:) This week was the last one from a three-month tour of four islands in Indonesia. Ment to be relaxing before turning home on a long flight. And, it truly was. We didn't leave the villa much, since it had everything we needed. Including a nice pool. Room service did manage to provide warm meals. The Cascade restaurant has a very good breakfast. Limited choice compared to other five star places we have been. But very good quality and never boring. We preferred the Bali-coffee since the regular coffee was a bit too bitter for us. A shame, since coffee in Indonesia can be really good. We had dinner at Cascade and L'Aperitife. Both good. L'Aperitife has more refined food and somewhat colder surroundings. A bit to black and white for us. But food and service made it very much worthwhile. Of course we have to mention the excellent cocktails in the bar. Those are very much recommended, without eating as well since the decoration of the bar is just wonderful. Viceroy is certainly not cheap. As far as we are concerned, worth every penny. We like to mention the great care that the general manager and the office manager (Widi) gave us. Everyone in this hotel cares. For instance: when we were in a bit of a panic since I became quick more sick (started at Flores), they took us without questioning direct to a nearby hospital. Anyway: great place to be.

Fantastic stay, obviously expensive but was worth it. Tremendous pool with views, amazing rooms, and truly outstanding service. We even forgot our passports but the staff checked our room before we even realized and were able to get them to us before we left - awesome! Overall, Viceroy was paradise, and location was as good as one needs in Ubud.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel until we left we felt very welcomed by the staff. Very helpful, super friendly and always attentive to all our needs/requests.

The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the center of Ubud and the most tourist attractions. They also offer transfers to 2 areas of the center.

The hotel has incredible facilities, breathtaking views and magnificent rooms. The bed is super comfortable and the service exceptional.

I will only write about my impressions of staying here for 4 days on my honeymoon.

1. Kindness

All the staff were friendly and occasionally spoke Korean.
He made us entertained by telling a joke or two.

We were there for a really long time (except for the tour)
In most accommodations) I have never felt uncomfortable.

Occasionally, but mostly for a day or two.
There are a lot of foreigners~~

3. Facilities

The public swimming pool was used almost like a private swimming pool.
It's a pity that there is no yoga program, but there is a gym
It was fun because there was a facility to play squash.

4. Location

It's close to Ubud Kingdom and easy to get around by shuttle.

We select accommodations based on lukewarm water, facilities, and location.
I selected it and went on a tour, but it was so disappointing.
I wanted to stay at the hotel more.

We are limited to 5 stars when in fact it is more impressive than this. It is without equal.

It was an unforgettable stay in my life.

This time, I had read the reviews in advance and had my expectations at the highest level. Even so, the resort experience was even better than I expected, both in terms of hardware and software.

I would like to point out the points that particularly impressed me.

The pool villa is even more beautiful than the photo
A villa where you can bathe in warm water 24 hours a day, see stars at night, and feel nature. It's facing the mountain and you can't see other villas, so it's great to be able to relax without worrying about your surroundings.
All the rice is delicious
We ate at Cascades for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and none of the dishes were compromising and were delicious. To be honest, I had never expected much from food at resorts in Bali, so I didn't expect it to be of such a high standard. I was especially impressed with the French toast for breakfast and the beef tartare for dinner.
The staff is extremely kind
I was impressed by his sense of distance, the timing of when he reached out to me, and his accuracy with respect to time. None of them are artificial at all, and hospitality is built into their movements.

I went on a solo trip for the purpose of detoxing (lol), but this is a great resort to come with friends or loved ones.
Of course, I enjoyed myself even if I was alone.

I loved every minute of my stay at Viceroy Bali, and would definitely recommend. The price obviously isn't the cheapest to many, but it's absolutely worth it. I rather found it surprisingly reasonable for the pleasant experience I've had here.

The hotel and facilities are clean, extremely well presented and support by the most talented and amazing hotel staff.
We returned today for a day out in Ubud to find our room cleaned and reset, we was in a rush and left T-shirts on the bed, the house keeping folded and left for our return- with this level of detail and customer service its no wonder this is the most luxurious hotel in Ubud.

This is as good as it gets. We enjoyed our time here immensely. Wonderful staff and immensely talented and down to earth owner and family who know how to build and run at top tier 5-star resort. Food is excellent and their speak easy bar is a masterpiece in every way. Its not often we stay at resort at this price point and come away thinking we got an excellent value, but this in the exception. There are so many amazing places to stay in Bali, and this is truly at the top of the list. We will return many more times.

Cant say enough about this beautiful place. The staff was phenomenal. Bar and restaurant were gorgeous and delicious. Very relaxing but yet had options to do when we wanted. Also had a great shuttle service to town. Dewa, our driver, was amazing. Felt like we were staying with family!

My wife and I spent a week in Bali and split our trip between the Viceroy and the Four Seaons Hotel in Jimbaran Bay. I was not sure what to expect as we have stayed in many 5-Star resorts across the world. Immediately upon arrival my jaw dropped seeing the grounds and how beautiful the property was. We stayed in the Elephant Villa and it was amazing. The service and staff remembered our names after a single day in passing. That was a first for me! The concierge service was amazing. Any small request was taken care of immediately and they even arranged a helicopter transfer from their property to the Four Seasons when we decided to fly the night before leaving instead of wasting 2 hours + in a taxi. I also want to mention the restaurant and room service was amazing, the menu had something for everyone and everything was delicious. I cant wait to come back next year! Id recommend over the Four Seasons!

I went there for my honeymoon.
I don't enjoy playing in the water a lot, so the room didn't come with a private pool, but we were the only ones in the public pool, so we enjoyed it as if it were a private pool.
1. Room cleaning is clean
2. Its so nice that there isnt a single bug in the room.
3. Breakfast was delicious. I really liked the forest view in front of the restaurant.
4. If necessary, you can take a shuttle to the city center.
5. The staff are very friendly
I stayed in 4 accommodations while in Bali and this was the best.

We stayed at this resort hotel for 4 or 5 nights back in April 2022. Now, when I look at the pictures I took during that time, I realize how incredibly happy I was and how everyone and everything at this hotel amplified my levels of happiness

No matter how much I think about it, I can't think of any cons. It was truly the best!! If you are looking for value for money, it would be a good idea to go for a room without a private pool.

Great view in nature, sorounded by wild animals and jungle. Nice calming atmosphere. Excellent food, service and SPA. We booked smaller room, but they gave us king room with private pool in the jungle

What a new year wonderful

I wish I knew about this place before visiting Bali. If I were to visit Bali, it would be for this place and the services offered by the staff at the restaurant. This hotel doesn't belong to any international chain yet it exceeds that expectation and beyond. Craftsmanship, quality and exceptional service I received by the staff at the restaurant. The customer journey experience can be tested from the moment you park your car being warmly welcomed by a polite lady till your departure. Bathrooms? Are spotless. I ordered some Lebanese drippings, an Indonesian plate ( chicken breast and rice) Pizza and Papaya salad.

Indonesia should be proud for having such a place.

Having visited Bali many times we were extremely pleased to have found the Viceroy. Everything about the Viceroy is incredible. From the way the property is maintained to the way you are treated by the staff. It is evident that the establishment is exceptionally managed. When we return to Bali we will not consider staying anywhere else. During our most recent visit this was the only resort we did not leave while we were there. Thank you to all the staff and management for making this the highlight of our trip. Also anyone visiting Ubud must have dinner at Aperitif. We travel regularly and have visited many of the worlds best restaurants. Aperitif is one of them. We recommend the wine pairing which is presented by a world class sommelier. The 1930s bar has a billiard table, cigar lounge and serves amazing cocktails. The spa treatments were next level. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience. And the resort has a helipad. Our next trip to Bali will be to the Viceroy. Forget anywhere else.

Luxury Luxury Luxury! I visited Viceroy Bali about a month ago and had such a great experience throughout my stay. This was the best Luxury resort in Bali that I stayed in during my time in Bali. The service was flawless from check in to check out. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. The resort looks out over a stunning valley with views and has fine dining restaurants on the premises. There was a wide range of facilities onsite; a good gym, brand new spa, squash court and conference room. I loved my private pool, the view was superb. I wouldnt hesitate to book this resort again next time Im in Ubud.

Beautiful 5-star hotel; excellent food in their a-la carte restaurant offered a welcome reprieve from the surrounding tourist trap restaurants whilst day-tripping to Ubud and surrounds. Next visit we'll plan to spend a few nights here!

We stayed for 9 nights for our honeymoon and every single moment was pure bliss at Viceroy. It speaks volumes that the staff enjoy working with Amanda and her team and that same friendliness was passed on to us from the restaurant teams, the bars, housekeeping and drivers/guides. Friendly waiters and a pleasant atmosphere..

The villa and the view it faces were both beautiful, but what made the stay exceptional was the fantastic staff. My husband fell ill during our trip and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. They went out of their way to make him comfortable and prepared meals that weren't on the menu but were easier on the stomach, and told us when we were settling the bill that they were complimentary.

Simply unmatched warmth and hospitality. I cannot recommend Viceroy Bali enough.

Came back here after 10 years dining with wife. Brought the kids this time. Great value for money when having dinner. Amazing views of Ubud . We were celebrating wedding anniversary and wifes birthday. Kids had a blast with the staff. Great food.
