Deux Belettes, known as ‘The French House,’ is located in the Byron Bay hinterland in New South Wales. The Dalwood, Australia, chateau is surrounded by tropical fruit plantations and rainforest. Pebbled pathways around the property lead to gardens, rambling roses, perfumed trees, and topiaries. The guest house, available for weddings, is filled with antique furnishings.
Outdoor ceremonies, held at one of several locations around the property, are followed by marquee receptions. Day after breakfasts are served in the Grand Salon, a space adorned with parquet, gold leaf, silk cushions, French windows, and chandeliers.
Customised wedding packages are offered. The venue has a dedicated team of wedding planners and stylists that provide a caterer, florist, musicians, hair and makeup professionals, photographers, luxury transport, and more for the wedding day.
Accommodation and Destination Attractions
Two opulent guest rooms with ensuite, bedroom, sitting room and mini kitchen are offered. The Tower Suite, complete with timber ceilings and old wooden beams, covers the entire top floor of the chateau. The Granary has frescoed stone walls and avian-inspired walls complete with nesting boxes. Guests can stay at Alstonville Country Cottages and Arabella Garden Inn.
Deux Belettes is close to the village of Alstonville, which boasts bric-a-brac shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and a lively 100-year-old pub. Victoria Park Nature Reserve, Teven Valley Golf Course, and Summerland House Farm are located in the Dalwood area.
