Tina ( owner) & staff were lovely. We took our elderly social support group there. You can park near entrance & there is a lift inside convent.

Went for a coffee and walk through.
Coffee and scons were great.
The building, its history, gardens, staff, views with fantastic local artwork.

The grounds here are absolutely breathtaking. Perfect place to take the friends & family for a lovely breakfast/lunch/dinner or to take your book/laptop and spend some time enjoying the great coffee and the art.

Was initially unsure about this place, but upon entry my uncertainty was all gone! It's absolutely gorgeous inside, and the vibes and atmosphere of this place is really awesome!

My partner and some friends of mine started off with a meal here, and it was fantastic! I ordered a pie with cheese, pumpkin and some relish and it was amazing! The flavours went so well together and the serving size was just enough! The crust of the pie was also great too! I also ordered a French earl grey tea, and it was immaculate! Loved the taste of it, I don't know what it was about it, but it just tasted so good! My friends were all satisfied with their meals too, all coming in at the same time! The chips were great, super generous serving and very tasty!

We then went to the gallery portion of this place and it was so pretty! Gorgeous views and some really beautiful art, probably one of the first galleries I've been to where I would actually consider purchasing some of the pieces! Entrance is normally $10, but due to a particular incident that day, entrance was free!

The gardens are also really nice, the view from there is simply beautiful! I can't recommend this place enough! Definitely stop by if you have an opportunity to!

Beautiful, picturesque historical building and art gallery rolled into one. This was on our list for Daylesford sightseeing and it didn't disappoint. Many rooms to explore with diverse artists' work, ranging from paintings of local scenery to large abstract pieces. Gorgeous views from the balcony too. Well worth a visit, thank you!

Went as a family and paid $25 for the family ticket (2 adults and 3 kids), and it's worth the price. Building is magnificent, and there are beautiful paintings and furniture and rich history inside. You can also see the spectacular view from the balcony.

Interesting and historic former Catholic convent high on a hill overlooking Daylesford. Now an art gallery, cafe and function centre.
Highly recommended.

Amazing art and a great way to spend some time walking around admiring everything to see.

The receptionist was too kind. Made the place really warm. She recommended the nun tonic which was wine with spices and juice to warm the senses.
The art collection was really great. Weather was perfect to take photos outside.

Went for lunch and a look. Very friendly staff full of interesting information about convent and area. Food was well presented, we had hamburgers, meat patties were under cooked though.

Beautiful artwork with lovely staffs and kind people in here, thank you for the lady gave me a such beautiful rose for my goodbye gift.

Totally picturesque place this is! For 10 dollars you get to see and experience the beauty of the Victorian era as well as learn the story of the convent plus immerse in manmade art as well as God's art of the wonderful mother nature!!

Great experience and well worth the trip

I wouldn't even know where to begin here. Just simply walking up to the building gives you a great feeling. You're greeted by some of the loveliest staff I have ever met who back it up with a very clear care of the building they're working in. As you make your way around the several floors of the gallery, I'd suggest you start from the top and work your way down. The bell tower adjoining the old infirmary is truly special for not just the views but the ability to really feel like you're walking in the shoes of those before you.
As you head down into the old dormitories, you're greeted by some stunning works of art.
As you leave, grab a coffee on the way out, it's delicious!
Will be recommending to everyone I know, a must see in Daylesford!

What an interesting place in a beautiful setting. An absolute must see when you are in Daylsford. If you are lucky you run into Tina the owner, or she runs into you, more likely to happen Make sure you enjoy the bad habit cafe on your way out. How could one resist this name.

The art gallery is definitely a must visit place in Daylesford! Love the interior design, the ladies(and gentleman at the front desk too!) working in the cafe are super friendly and helpful, the food is nice as well! I did enjoy a sunny afternoon here appreciated art works in the building and took a walk in the beautiful garden.

I LOVE The Convent! The actual place is spectacular in re to the history & beautiful building's, as well as the garden's, the museum & Art Gallery. The friendly atmosphere, service AND delectable menu is brilliant!

The gallery is beautiful and welcoming. It has something in the air... Something that elicits a sort of agnostic reverence. The view from the bell tower is so serene.
Stop by the gift shop and be sure to pick up some caramel fudge. It's the best!

My Husband Tom and I were married at the beautiful convent gallery in Daylesford in May. We had such an incredible day and cannot thank the staff of the convent especially Tina and Marija. Marija and her team were exceptional to our guests and bridal party and family on our wedding day and went above and beyond in every aspect. The convent offers so much as we were married in the chapel then made our way through the different spaces of the convent throughout the night. The altar bar was a huge success at the end of the night and our guests loved this extra time to celebrate as did we! We would highly recommend the convent gallery to couples looking for a stunning venue for their wedding. We have precious memories from our wedding and we look forward to visiting the convent in the years to come. With sincere thanks and gratitude for making our day so special.

Such a beautiful place both inside and outside! So quirky and so much history in the walls. The artwork was wonderful and the staff were so warm and friendly you feel like you've known them your whole life! The tickets have a 3 days entry and the artwork is changed every 2 or 3 months! Can't wait to go back

Just a beautiful building and garden housing what is now a gallery. The Cafe was great too. Had a tasty lunch.

aesthetically pleasing and cozy little cafe attached to a little museum with $10 entry. amazing food and truly worth the money, given the atmosphere. a need to try is definitely the scones as it was one of the best things i've ever had. we were sat in the blue room on the side but the best area to sit in is probably the green area with windows :))

Lovely food, great customer service - there was a bit of delay in getting our food but they let us know early and give us updates. The scones were delicious, the building was beautiful inside and out and the gift shop is lovely. It was very busy on a Saturday so book if you can.

Great art gallery in a nicely restored old convent. Well worth the visit.

A wonderfully preserved, restored, historical building with unique and new art pieces. The art are on an eight week rotation and all the pieces are up for sale. The owner is so passionate and has uplifted Daylesford's history: labor of love! Definitely check out the views from the Bell Tower! There are lifts for wheelchair access. The Nun's Tonic comes highly recommended by the owner if you wanted a small drink to sum up the experience.

A beautiful place with a cafe inside. You will need to buy a ticket at the entrance to visit the museum. A lot of arts and history of the church. A very good place for photography

Brilliant meal, great service

We organised a gender reveal party with the family here & the staff were incredible. We had many annoying dietary requirements which they accommodated with ease. Maria (one of the staff) spent weeks researching the best way to reveal the gender of our new little addition. The high tea food was delicious and so much! Id highly recommend this place, especially for special & intimate events.

Had a family High Tea today for 9 of us ranging from 6 to 70 years of age. Delicious food and the woman who served us was attentive even when we asked for more drinks. A great day. Love the gift shop as well! Best to book a table in advance

Just Wow!!!!! Was blown when got there. Been going to Daylesford for years and didnt realise it was there. The gardens are amazing and the cafe and bar looks great with a great menu. The gallery is next level. So much talented work on display.

Beautiful piece of history and stunning gallery. Really enjoyed walking through each space of the convent, you capture the way they dedicated their lives each day within the walls and creating such a special way of life. Something that is certainly missed these days.

The cafe was great, lovely setting and servers were friendly and attentive. Very accommodating to our little 6 month old son. Their scones were some of the best Ive had in a while. Well definitely be visiting again.

PERFECT WEDDING LOCATION!! I seriously can't recommend this place enough!!

Not only is it just stunning with ample places for photo opportunities but the staff are impeccable!! The coordinators help you from the beginning in planning the day and are always happy to help along the way with changes and questions.

Marija and Tina (and All the other staff) are so friendly and loving it really contributed to making our day as special and stress free as it was.

The convent now holds a sentimental place in my heart..i smile just thinking about it.

Stellar private art gallery - creatively decorated, beautiful and historically interesting, welcoming staff. Great cafe, amazing looking bar. Got a strange feeling from the basement/music room that is now a museum.

What an incredible history this place has. I loved my time there and will gladly go back and visit again.

Beautiful property with a lovely cafe inside. Its a must visit if youre in Daylesford, the staff are super friendly and the waiting time for food is very reasonable. Me and my friends loved the part of the cafe which had the turquoise coloured walls and marble tables. Highly recommend the calamari salad or the Moroccan lamb pie as your mains. Theres also a gift shop and a gallery if youre interested in checking those out with a $10 entry fee to the gallery. After youre done at the cafe, you can go for a walk around the back of the property where there is a long gravel road Trail. If you walk out the back of the property and walk far enough to your left hand side, there is a tall lighthouse type of look out which has wonderful views of the area.

I am a marriage celebrant and recently had the pleasure of officiating a wedding in the glorious chapel at The Convent. It is a beautiful heartwarming space and a wonderful atmosphere for a marriage ceremony. Not only that, I met the dynamic Tina who turned a crumbling wreck of a building into the delightful art gallery/ cafe/ wedding venue that we see today. It was such a pleasure to meet you Tina - I salute you for your vision and bringing it to a reality that can be enjoyed by everyone who visits. Next time you are in Daylesford, put The Convent on top of your list!

Enjoyed a delicious long lunch with my husband yesterday. Food is fresh, wholesome and healthy. The staff are at your service in a heart beat. Compliments to the chefs and Tina (who owns The Convent). Such a beautiful historical building.

Its rumoured to be one of the most haunted places in Daylesford at night, but in the daytime, its Daylesfords best kept secret attraction. Beautiful and atmospheric property that houses a cafe which serves delicious breakfast, lunch and afternoon high tea, and a stunning art gallery. I had the privilege to meet Tina, the owner. Very lovely lady. She has created a masterpiece that must be seen and experienced.

One of the most unique cafes in Victoria. The 19th century old building was a convent and boarding school for almost 90 years. Over four levels theres 7 gallery spaces, a museum, chapel and gift shop. The bad habits cafe nestled within features a high, glass-encased atrium where you can indulge in some sweet treats or enjoy brunch.

This is by far the best attraction in Daylesford. Well done Tina B, huge congratulations to you. Years of effort and dedication. Your vision. Outstanding. The staff were fantastic, from arrival to coffee shop. Kudos to you all.

Pity it wasn't open

Went today for high tea to celebrate my mums birthday. We sat on the balcony which was just lovely! Exceptional customer service by Rebecca, if I recall correctly. She was warm and genuine, accommodating of my 1 year old in pram, and a family members dietary requirement.

This gallery is a such a wonderful experience of history, art and soul - every single time. A lovely chance to encounter with Tina, the visionary and owner who welcomed us with her radiance and kindness.

Our pre lunch cocktail was divine, lunch was delicious, the art was wonderful and the whole experience was unforgettable and will be repeated.

I visit the Convent gallery and gardens regularly, and every time is uniquely special, in so many ways! Love this place so much!

Such a beautiful and historic building that has been lovingly restored over time.
The art is always amazing.
The staff cope well, even on extremely busy days, which seems to be most days.
It is the kind of place that you might find in Tuscany or South of France.
There is a boutique style store as well, that stocks unique and eclectic items, jewels and fashion.

We love the Convent. It is a beautiful building with a great gallery space. The High Tea is fabulous! If you have a special occasion coming up or just want to relax in a exquisite environment the Convent is the place to go. Great coffee, great staff, and great service.

A must do if visiting Daylesford. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. Wow! Amazing woman who overcame huge obstacles to bring this historic building to others. Loved every minute there. Hosts artists work so in addition to wandering through a historic building, you can appreciate a mix of artistic genres. Do stop and grab a drink or a quick bite to eat at the end of your visit, and take in the atmosphere.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a high tea at The Convent Daylesford.The food was excellent and the attention of the staff was exceptional, with special mention to Steven and Rebecca.

Lucky and managed to get a spot but booking in advance guarantees you a spot . Nice rustic vintage feel and you can smell those scones!

You have to get the scones here they are super fresh , baked frequently and overwhelmingly indulgent . Get the scones ,

There is no way you can give this place less than 5 stars. It's beautiful, haunting, and moving. The place is run by passionate and lovely people. The gardens are stunning, with views to match!

We visited the Convent today and count ourselves very lucky to have met Tina on the way in; the amazing woman who restored the Convent to become the outstanding + special place it is today. We loved her story and it was a privilege to learn the history of the nuns who once lived, worked and endured trying conditions in the building. Their stories surely would have been lost forever without her years of dedication, research and collaboration with the remaining nuns many years ago. She has preserved and honoured a true piece of history, but also brought it to life - the place feels happy and busy and is full of beautiful art and artifacts. We thank Tina for providing such an incredible service to the community and art world!!

I was just driving past and I needed to turn around, I haven't even entered the building but just stopped to admire the gardens and what a beautiful atmosphere.

I will definitely be returning one day when I don't have sleeping babies in the car

Had a morning coffee in this amazing place. Daylesford is so lucky to have this beautiful building surrounded by established gardens. Staff are very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful convent with an extensive, well-kept collection of artwork. $10 a ticket and feels like you can spend a whole day perusing the paintings. The convent is connected to a cafe, wedding venue and leads right to the botanic garden. Lovely view of Daylesford and you can get a glimpse of Mount Franklin from the bell tower as well.
