Messages of love
We spotted the extraordinary paper cut work of artist Julene Harrison the other day and were simply awe inspired by the beautiful messages carved in such intricate detail!
The piece above contains lines from a famous poem by E. E. Cummings, which many couples have as a reading in their wedding ceremony. Imagine framing this piece of art, and hanging it in your home – perhaps with a translucent backing to allow the light to shine through – wouldn’t it make a beautiful reminder of your special day? Words are such a powerful way to evoke memories – and not just of your ceremony or wedding day. We were so touched by the gift our real bride Virginia created for her husband Maurice – a gorgeous wooden box filled with memories of their courtship that she had written on small pieces of paper and sealed with wax. What a wonderful idea!

We just adore beautiful signs! Whether they are hanging, written on a wall, or propped up around a room, signs are a stylish way to set the tone of an occasion, mark the way, and add to the decor of a room.
We recently spotted these vintage shabby-chic style signs on Etsy. Seller The Back Porch Shoppe is based in New Orleans, and can customise the signs with names, dates, and significant words or phrases! Gorgeous!
