It was a new destination for us to discover together – one that offered a rich cultural heritage minus the extended transit time and frenetic pace of previously visited European cities.

Accommodation

For the first half of our Honeymoon we resided on the Seminyak coast at the Anantara Resort and Spa, a timeless destination to unwind post-wedding and benefit from some of the richest healing traditions of the world.

The latter half of our journey was spent at Komaneka Bisma in an enchanting and secluded private villa overlooking the serene River in Ubud.

The amazing Ayurvedic spa therapy treatments and going for long evening bike rides across the Island’s amazing stretch of coast.

The attentive service and welcoming staff, and savouring local afternoon tea under coconut palms in the sunset.

Tips or advice for others

While local entertainment and dining is very affordable, expect to pay a steep import margin on all varieties of wine.
