Far North Coast Rustic Wedding Venues


Billinudgel Hotel is a circa 1906 country pub that hosts weddings. Ceremonies take place on the grounds and are followed by receptions in The Shed, a pavilion with plenty of room for guests. Accommodation is available.

Forest Glen Organic Farm and Farmstay, located on the banks of Bungawalbyn Creek, is based on a tea tree plantation. Wedding vows are exchanged in front of a billabong, and receptions take place in the Reception Centre or under a marquee.

Hanging Rock Hall was built from local bush rock. The building is complemented by spacious undercover areas and external spaces including an oval for outdoor activities. A commercial grade kitchen is provided for self-catered weddings.

Mavis’s Kitchen and Cabins is a 25-acre former dairy farm that is nestled at the base of Wollumbin-Mt Warning. The pet-friendly country style restaurant hosts wedding celebrations. Cabin accommodation is available.

Midginbil Hill EcoResort is a working 400-acre cattle farm situated beneath the escarpment of Nightcap National Park. The resort specialises in budget-friendly three day wedding celebrations. Lodge, glamping tent, and camping accommodation is available.

Set on 80 acres of rainforest, Mt Warning Rainforest Retreat offers three unique lodges. Intimate wedding ceremonies take place in numerous outdoor locations including by the pavilion, creek, or lodge. Elopement packages are also available.

Kitchen garden eatery Potager in Carool is situated on a 10-acre family farm. The restaurant, which hosts small boutique wedding receptions, is built in a country cottage whose front wall is covered in succulents.

Tumbulgum Tavern, established in 1887, provides a series of indoor spaces and outdoor decks and patios overlooking the Tweed River and the Caldera. The tavern, as well as gazebos on the property, are available for wedding festivities.

Wangrah Wilderness Lodge in Tenterfield features over 20 kilometres of river frontage that faces the Mole River. Wedding receptions, which can be self-catered, take place in the lodge or in the gazebo area. Cottage accommodation is available.
