What We Loved #7

Ahhh, the end of another busy week for the RW team! We’ve been planning planning planning for our annual Style edition and beyond, and waiting waiting waiting for the Winter 2010 issue to arrive from the printers!

Right, back to what we loved this week. There were so many incredible images and ideas out there in the webosphere that putting this post together was rather tricky! But we’ve managed to exercise some restraint and choose just five of our favourites, so here they are (in no particular order, as always)

1. This beautiful boutonniere

Isn’t it just the softest, sweetest little thing ever?

Real Wedding: Jared and Lauryn

Oh boy do we have an adorable treat for you today! When photographer Katelyn James from Inspired Designs sent us pictures from Jared and Lauryn’s sweet wedding in Virginia, USA we fell in love with all the gorgeous little details and just couldn’t wait to share them with you!

First, let’s introduce the happy couple:

Katelyn said of them: “I specifically remember squealing when I ran through the front door to tell my roommates about Jared and Lauryn. I have been looking forward to their wedding day since we first met because I knew it would be beautiful…and it was. It definitely wasn’t beautiful because of the weather: we were dodging downpours all day! It was beautiful because two best friends committed their lives to one another…”

We loved the natural, unfussed look of the flower arrangements and bouquets…

The bridesmaids wore bright citrusy green dresses, and the boys wore a variety of complimenting ties – it all looked fantastic together!

We also loved Lauryn’s fresh, natural look – and the cute yellow shoes under that sweet gown!

Congratulations Lauryn and Jared… and thanks to Katelyn at Inspired Designs for sending this through!

Designer Wellies

Are you planning a country celebration in the great outdoors? Wide open fields make a beautiful setting for country ceremonies – but in some cases it takes only a light shower to make the ground a little muddier than you might like!

But with these sweet designer wellies from Rosie Roo, you won’t have to worry about the state of the ground at all!

We just love the ribbon detailing up the front of the boot – how sweet! To order your pair head to www.rosieroo.com.au

What we loved…

It’s been a very busy week for the Real Weddings team, with meetings and photoshoots for our Winter 2010 issue – things are starting to come together! So the blog has been a little quiet this week, but we thought we’d make up for it today by starting a new weekly feature, “What We Loved”. It’s our weekly wrap of everything we loved this week, and what’s inspiring us as work away on the Winter issue! Here we go (in no particular order)…

1. The DIY “Soda Pop Escort Cards” on 100 Layer Cake

What a unique way to give your guests their table numbers! You could fill bottles with your favourite cocktails, fresh juices, or even homemade cordials. Delicious, and stylish!

2. The beautiful stationery suite created by Momental Designs for Green Wedding Shoes

Loving that paper flower! Kristy Rice from Monumental designed this stationery suite using an inspiration board featuring mint, green, peach and brown tones, which was created by Jen at Green Wedding Shoes. Kristy describes the colour palette as “mint ice cream meets oak wood” – gorgeous!

3. The gorgeous floral headpiece worn by real bride Ellen, featured on Polka Dot Bride

And what about the dress with the beautiful sash?! Ellen, who owns couture design business Lissom Yarn, created it herself!

Images by Hannah Hosking of Hang Studio

4. These incredible Fendi shoes, seen on Style Me Pretty

Actually, the whole wedding is pretty amazing; go and have a look!

5. Hydrangeas

Some gorgeous floral arrangements featuring hydrangeas arrived at our photo shoot on Tuesday… and we were blown away. Now we are enjoying having some of these beautiful blooms in our office.

Have a lovely weekend!

In His Shoes

Remember these gorgeous green Christian Louboutin’s we featured on the Real Inspiration page at the back of Real Weddings Style 2009/2010? Of course you do – we’ve never had so many comments about a pair of shoes!

Well, we have two pieces of news for you. The first is that you can see the full details of Nili and Anthony’s beautiful winter-inspired wedding in our Summer 2010 issue – which is out now!

The second piece of news is that we’re found another pair of gorgeous Louboutins that would be just perfect for brides – and they’re on sale!

These beauties are now £291.91 on netaporter.com – that’s 30% off the normal price! We’re thinking they won’t last long, so get going girls! x
