Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is located in the Baa Atoll UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The tropical island resort, which consists of one entire island, features a jungle interior and a 2-kilometre lagoon. Visitors reach the hotel via a seaplane flight traveling from the Maldivian capital of Male. Resort amenities include the overwater Wedding Pavilion.
Four Seasons Resort Maldives offers more than 100 thatched bungalows and villas. Land-based villas have open-air living and dining pavilions, island style bedrooms, lap pools, and secluded walkways that lead to the beach. Water-based villas provide Indian Ocean views through floor to ceiling windows as well as sundecks, outdoor showers, and nets for overwater lazing.
In addition to white sand beaches and turquoise waters, the resort offers a spa, a tennis court, and the Marine Discovery Centre. The three-acre Spa & Ayurvedic Retreat, highlighted by the Rossano Ferretti Hair Salon, offers panchakarma, massages, acupuncture, and anti-gravity yoga. Dining options include the Seabar, an overwater deck that offers tapas style plates.
Guests can dive into the Indian Ocean to swim with whale sharks and manta rays or join turtle rehabilitation projects and coral reefscaping at the Marine Discovery Centre. Honeymooners enjoy candlelit dinners, served by boat, on a floating platform in the middle of the lagoon. Resort activities include kitesurfing, jet blading, and parasailing.
