Just 15 minutes after landing in beautiful Bali, you could be standing, gazing in awe, at the stunning Belmond Jimbaran Puri. Situated on the well-to-do Jimbaran Bay which is all white sands and tropical paradise sunsets, this hotel is stylish, luxurious, and exactly what you need.
Belmond Jimbaran Puri is made up of a combination of villas and cottages. These ‘homes from home’ are built to look traditionally Balinese, and there is a certain charm in that, but they are also modern and chic, giving you the best of both worlds. Vaulted ceiling and marble bathrooms lend an air of opulence to your stay, and the fact that you can step right out onto a patio that overlooks the enormous pool is another tick in the box for the ideal getaway destination.
The gardens that surround the rooms are perfectly maintained, and beautiful tropical plants vie for attention. From pink waterlilies to hibiscus and more besides, the scents and sights of this garden are enough to keep everyone happy. But there is much more to the Belmond Jimbaran Puri than gorgeous gardens and perfectly appointed rooms.
It’s quiet at the Belmond Jimbaran Puri. Tranquil. Relaxing. This is where you can truly unwind and take some time for yourself – and there aren’t many places on this earth where you can be sure of utter and pure pampering, just for you. Much of that pampering can take place in the open-air beach spa. Enjoy treatments made exclusively for couples, or take the opportunity to indulge alone. Traditional Balinese treatments and massages, performed by experts, can be booked at any time during your stay. With yoga, tai chi, and meditation classes available for all guests as well, take some time out for yourself in a variety of different – and special – ways. Or what about joining in with a Balinese dance class? It’s all waiting for you here.
There are two restaurants at the Belmond Jimbaran Puri. The Nelayan Restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner and serves up a fusion of Balinese and Western food, mainly French, created by an inspired chef who uses as many local ingredients as possible. For authentic flavours such as coconut and lemongrass, Nelayan should be your first choice. Tunjung Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. Here you will be able to indulge in flaky pastries and fresh fruit as you start your day gazing out over the lily ponds. And later, the restaurant transforms into a much more intimate venue, ideal for a romantic meal.
If you want to take advantage of the swimming pool at the Belmond Jimbaran Puri, you’ll certainly have the room to swim, paddle, or simply bathe in the warm water. Made from Javanese stone, there are sun loungers strategically dotted around the edge, giving you the best view and the best seat in the house. But if it is the sea that calls to you, it’s just a short stroll to the beach – you can see it from the pool – and those fabled white sands and gently lapping waves can be yours. From here you can go exploring, visit the nearby village and see what the real Bali is all about.
