Garden Wedding Venues in McLaren Vale

Leconfield is the home of Richard Hamilton Wines. The cellar door was opened by the former Prime Minister of Australia, The Honourable John Howard, in October 2005. Several locations are available for a wedding ceremony, including the rose gardens which offer views looking out to the Willunga Hills. Receptions are held in the cellar door and surrounding grounds, but marquee-style weddings are not permitted.

Mulberry Lodge is a country retreat, with luxury accommodation, where couples can exchange vows. A beautiful lawned garden with glory vine and roses provides a great backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The bride walks down a silver birch tree aisle onto the lawn and gets married under an old ash tree. Wedding night accommodation in the Garden Retreat is included in the wedding package, and the bride and bridesmaids may stay at the Lodge the night before the wedding. The venue does not host receptions.

Red Poles has a wonderful wedding celebration backdrop of vineyards and blooming gardens as well as lawn and natural bushland. In addition, an art gallery space provides an alternative to a lawn setting. Guest accommodation, with three rooms available for overnight stays, is set in a picturesque quadrangle around a garden and water feature overlooking the vineyards. The venue is pet friendly.

Old Oval Estate is a picturesque vineyard that has a unique wedding ceremony site under its 450-year-old river red gum tree. Other sites are located in the vineyards and lush gardens. Pavilion or marquee receptions are offered with views of the Willunga Hills and the estate gardens. A two-night stay in the nearby Wine and Roses Bed and Breakfast is included in a wedding package.
