"I had spent several years scouting around London antique stores looking for an old typewriter to restore," tells the bride. "Cut to several years later, and still no typewriter..." Returning from a weekend in Venice, Barbara arrived home to a candle-lit, flower-filled house. The ‘piece de resistance': a superbly restored typewriter, complete with a typed page - ‘will you marry me?' Emotional and slightly overwhelmed, Barbara typed back ‘yes'.
