Great romantic venue if the weather is on your side!

I have read some terrible experiences from some bridal parties. My experience was on the contrary was positive, however a a guest I didnt deal with the venue management. Atlantic Group as the catering company was great in every sense. They were professional and attentive. I remember the touching gesture of the manager (Vicky?Vanessa?) bringing a tissue to a teary maid of honour in the middle of her speech.

If the weather is on your side, there are few venues in Melbourne which can beat this place for its romantic and photogenic appeal. It is set on a green patch of lawn, surrounded by beautiful, large, tall trees, adjacent to an old cottage. We were lucky it was a beautiful day. As it is outdoor, I wonder what happens if it is too hot, or windy, or rainy, or cold - which is always a possibility in Melbourne.

Parking is a hassle though as there was no dedicated parking area for guests. You have to take your chance with all other Botanical Garden visitors or hail a cab/Uber instead.

Melissa at Gardens House was sent from above to make our wedding ceremony as smooth and stressless as possible. Communication was great, Melissa made wet weather plans for us (which we thankfully didn't need to use), and incorporated our cultural needs for our wedding. Gardens House had all the amenities we needed and more. On the day itself we didn't need to lift a finger and we were always taken care of by staff members. Thanks to the team!

In the lead up to our wedding Melissa at Gardens House was amazing. She answered all our questions and communication was all speedy. We even had a wet weather plan though thankfully we didnt need it! On the day Poppy was also absolutely incredible. She made sure everything was going smoothly, especially with my wife and us two getting fed throughout the night. The food and wine offerings were amazing and in the weeks since we have had nothing but compliments from our guests. The whole Atlantic group did a super job throughout the leadup and the day itself. The back garden was stunning and exactly how we pictured it. We couldnt have asked for a better location or better staff for our wedding day. Thank you so much again!

We used Garden's House for our Wedding on Feb 7th 2025 and could not have been happier with the space and the staff.

Melanie, our event manager, was unbelievable. She was there for our every request, provided great advice and support and took so much of the stress out of the day for us. Jay, Gary and the rest of the team at Garden's House made our vision come to life and our day so special.

We were so thankful we chose the amazing Gardens House for our wedding. We only booked around 6 weeks in advance and the team pulled it together in a seamless fashion. We were blessed with amazing weather on the day and the venue was looking stunning.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Gardens House by The Atlantic Group, and it was absolutely perfect. We celebrated our ceremony in the gardens followed by cocktail hour and then into their STUNNING Marquee. The venue itself is breathtakingly elegant, and set in the most beautiful part of the Royal Botanic Gardens.

From start to finish, the entire team was incredible to work with. Everything ran seamlessly, the service was fantastic, and the food was particularly great. The team supported us throughout the planning process but particularly hands on, on the day itself. They actually make you feel like your event is the most important day of their life and yours - it was so lovely.

A big thank you to the wonderful staff who made the day so specialwith a special shoutout to Gary & Poppy who were so overwhelmingly warm and just made our experience on the day. What fantastic humans - Gary even made sure he found us on the dancefloor to ensure we ate a piece of our wedding cake on the night. It is those 1%er's that just make the difference. We had a beautiful wedding at The Gardens House, and it truly was a magical experience. The venue itself is absolutely stunningsurrounded by natural beauty, it created the perfect backdrop for our special day.

Although we experienced a few changes in event managers throughout the planning process, even up to two weeks before the wedding, we were incredibly grateful to have Melanie step in. She was professional, responsive, and truly helped ease our concerns during those final weeks. Her support made a real difference.

There was a bit of an unexpected surprise when a grass regeneration project began a week before the wedding, which meant the area in front of the house was covered with white sheets. While it wasnt ideal, the overall charm of the venue still shone through, and our day was everything we had hoped for.

Despite a few hiccups, our overall experience with Atlantic Group was very positive. The team worked hard to ensure our day was special, and were so thankful to have chosen The Gardens House for our wedding. Its a place well always remember with love and joy.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Gardens House. The venue had everything I needed as a photographer - perfect space for a first look, lovely and homely architecture, a balcony, inside space, a spacious and colourful ceremony, and gardens galore for portraits!

Staff were friendly, and the coordinator was super helpful and welcoming.

I would like to say that this place is beautiful and perfect for an intermittent event such as a wedding and I would recommend Laura as she was the one who helped us organise a wedding and she was absolutely brilliant and so lovely to work with. It was a beautiful day and she was a big part of making that happen.

I recently booked the beautiful Gardens House at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne for a not-for-profit organisations 10th Anniversary celebration and what a hidden gem this is! From the moment I contacted Melissa at the Atlantic Group, I knew I was in safe hands. Melissa and her team of event managers ensured that the night was a huge success. A particular highlight was the food and gathering out on the balcony upstairs looking out over the private garden of Gardens House. On top of this, being close to train stations, tram stops and good on-street car parking meant easy access for guests coming from all over Victoria. I cant recommend Melissa and Gardens House more highly for your next event. The hidden gem that is this venue will ensure you guests won't be disappointed.

I've had a privilege of photographing multiple weddings at the Gardens House and it definitely never disappoints! I like the fact that it's closed off to public (if you get married at other spots in the Botanic Gardens you might have strangers walking by during your ceremony) The house itself is charming and the back garden in the afternoon light is a delight.

Being able to photograph bridal portraits around the whole of Botanic Gardens is a big bonus as well.

I've attended Gardens House for high tea (ticketed event run a few times a year) and a wedding guest.

The Atlantic Group & Gardens house are amazing! The venue itself is beautiful, especially at night with the festoon lighting. It looks and feels like we were somewhere in Tuscany, not in the middle of Melbourne.
