Cleveland Estate

We work in highly stressful jobs and were looking for a getaway to relax and recharge. We went to Cleveland Winery looking for space to just be, to disconnect from stress and connect with ourselves again. Cleveland Winery was a perfect choice.

We stayed in the Mt William Standard Room, which was cozy and looked out to a garden/sitting area. Unfortunately the windows didn't open (or we couldn't open them), but that was just a minor thing.

Breakfast was included with our room and it was really lovely. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were amazing - genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming. We were served by Akshay for breakfast, who was super friendly and helpful.

Dinner at the restaurant - Carriage House Restaurant - was delicious! We had the Tiger Prawns, Barramundi and Butternut Squash Risotto. We generally don't enjoy fine-dining but this place was really down to earth, with lovely staff and a relaxed vibe.

What we loved about Cleveland Winery was the feel of the place, with it's rustic tin buildings and gardens set up with chairs, tables and wine-drums in what seemed like hidden and untouched places. It was peaceful and beautiful, and just eased all our stress away.

We had a wonderful time at Cleveland Winery. We were fortunate enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The staff were so attentive & helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed wandering the gardens & vineyard. Enjoyed a cocktail on arrival & a full breakfast. We cant wait to visit again!

We celebrated a significant birthday at the Carriage House restaurant at Cleveland Winery and had a wonderful experience. The staff on the day were exceptional - catering to every request. We enjoyed pre drinks on the balcony and delicious wood fired pizzas in the restaurant. Highly recommend this venue. Well be back.

Will definitely head back on a hotter day for a good look around but the food for dinner was fantastic. The best food we've had in the last 12 months - well presented, good portions and great taste.

We have lived in the area for 19 years and never been for a meal at Cleveland . We decided to book the valentines dinner on arrival rose petals on the table and 2 glasses of bubbly the food was amazing and presentation phenomenal . The waiter Akshay was amazing and kiara was excellent and her first shift we will defiantly be returning :)

Beautiful setting and lovely rooms. The wine tasting was included and very enjoyable.
Although the food was lovely it took sooooo long to come out each time we ordered. I assume they (like everyone else) are short staffed in the kitchen.

Absolutely loved the stay here for a family trip. Had 1 night at the venue, enjoyed extremely tasty and generous food portion, great wine tasting experience, firewood, hottub and clean rooms. The staff members were very friendly and helpful also. Everyone went over and beyond to provide comfortable experience. Will definitely go again. Highly recommended.

I had one night gateway at Cleveland Winery, it was 1,5 hour away from Melbourne CBD, perfect for a short gateway! I booked the hotel + dinner package and overall it was a pleasant experience easy check in, foods are all sorted out, spacious room & bathroom, and I also saw electric charger for the EV owners Unfortunately it was a cold & rainy day so we mainly stayed indoor. Dinner was a 3 course set menu, they were all tasted good. but overall I enjoyed my short gateway trip at Cleveland Winery!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cleveland Winery. The grounds are well kept and the views are stunning. Furthermore; there are great amenities ie. cellar door wine tasting, billiards, hot tub and fire-pit which were all welcome additions to a wintery evening in the Macedon Ranges.
The staff at the winery were exceptional. Akshay really went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable and gave us insightful suggestions for the remainder of our trip and was able to help cater to our 2yr old son.
We enjoyed our dinner at the onsite restaurant - the steak was cooked perfectly and the prawns were excellent!
The area and this venue were exactly what we were needing in a weekend away, and has definitely warranted another trip back in the future!

You cannot go past the sceanery it is unmatched, simply gorgeous and Homley, the cellar and wine tasting is delicious and quaint, youre able to park up infront of one of the many fires and enjoy a bottle. The rooms are great spacious and all have smart TV's that u can connect to. The food is lovely. Perfect for a 1 or 2 night get away to see the winery and Lancefield.

Beautiful property with a peaceful atmosphere, fantastic food and genuinely friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable, everything was well presented, and the service made our stay feel extra special. We'd happily recommend Cleveland Estate and can't wait to visit again!

Great weekend away. Even though the weather was grey and cold we had a wonderful time at Cleveland Estate. We arrived and checked in seamlessly, went to the underground cellar to taste their wines (very good) then a couple of house to ourselves before drinks in the bar then dinner in the restaurant. Beautifully restored buildings, friendly staff and great food and wine. Very good buffet breakfast the next day. Don't expect big city polish but you will get country enthusiasm and friendliness which is what we were looking for.

We recently had our wedding at Cleveland Estate Winery and honestly could not recommend it more highly. From start to finish, the entire process was made so easy and stress-free thanks to the incredible staff. Everyone was so warm, helpful and accommodating, and they truly went above and beyond to make our day special.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and created the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. We also stayed onsite at the hotel, which both we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it made the whole experience feel so relaxed and seamless.

The food was incredible and we received so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. One moment that really stood out to us was during our cocktail hour while we were taking photos down the lane nearby one of the staff members actually drove a cocktail down to us so we didnt miss out. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly sums up the level of care and service we experienced all day.

We are so grateful to the entire team at Cleveland Estate for helping create such an unforgettable wedding day.

Cleveland Estate Winery and Accommodation was absolutely outstanding. The whole place has such a beautiful, relaxing feel, with stunning views, gorgeous grounds, and a real sense of luxury without feeling over the top. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented, making it easy to switch off and enjoy the stay. The winery itself was fantastic, with a great atmosphere and a setting that feels perfect for a weekend away, special occasion, or just a relaxing escape. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made the experience even better with their friendly service and attention to detail. Everything felt polished, peaceful, and high quality. Highly recommend Cleveland Estate to anyone looking for a memorable stay and a fantastic winery experience.

Attended a wedding here recently and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The grounds are SO stunning, such a beautiful setting for a wedding surrounded by vines & regional mountain views!

The event itself was lovely, and the food was genuinely great, which can be hit or miss at weddings but definitely wasnt here.

Honestly didnt even realise somewhere like this existed so close to Melbourne, such a hidden gem. Would highly recommend for weddings or any special event
