Set directly on the Yarra River in South Wharf, Showtime Events Centre occupies a restored 19th-century warehouse reimagined as industrial-luxe. Exposed beams, original hardwood floors and soaring ceilings meet a statement chandelier, laser-cut LED wall panels and integrated AV — a true blank canvas for a highly personalised celebration.
A collection of interconnected spaces gives couples the flexibility to shape their day within one riverside setting, each space with its own atmosphere but a seamless flow throughout:
The Warehouse— the signature space for elegant receptions and larger celebrations, with striking industrial character
River Pavilion— a covered riverside setting for ceremonies, cocktail hour and pre-reception drinks, sheltered yet open to the Yarra
Arrival Lounge — an intimate indoor space for smaller ceremonies, guest arrivals and pre-event moments
Together, they create a considered wedding-day journey — ceremony, cocktails and reception, all without leaving the venue.

Showtime Events Centre FAQs
Up to 5 hours of reception time, with on-site ceremonies able to be booked beforehand. Additional hours are available on request.
$11 per person, per additional hour.
Yes. All events must conclude by 1:00am.
Yes. Sunday–Thursday weddings start from $146 per person, and Friday weddings from $156 per person, available on selected dates and subject to package and availability.
Showtime Events Centre occupies a historic warehouse with a long-standing connection to Melbourne's event scene, transformed in 2010 into one of the city's premier event venues with upgraded facilities, AV capabilities, and luxury finishes.
Exclusive use is guaranteed for your wedding — there's no shared reception space with another event, and a dedicated event team manages your celebration across the venue's multiple connected spaces.
Catering: In-house only – Showtime Events Centre provides catering through the venue’s award-winning culinary team, with customised menus available.
Alcohol: In-house beverage packages are provided by the venue, including curated drinks selections and bar service.
Styling & suppliers: Couples can generally work with external suppliers for styling, florals, entertainment, photography, and décor, subject to venue approval and supplier requirements.
Showtime has real indoor backup, not a marquee or tent. Ceremonies can move indoors to the Arrival Lounge, while the main warehouse offers a fully enclosed reception space — making the venue suitable for celebrations in any weather. The River Pavilion remains available outdoors when conditions allow.
