A little spa treatment

After all the big events we’ve been to over the past couple of weeks, it’s nice to pause for a moment and put our feet up… or dream about it at least! When we saw these pictures of the Clarins spa at the Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam we almost jumped online and booked our flights then and there! Doesn’t it look beautiful?

Inspired by French colonial style, the luxurious Sofitel Metropole has been a regular meeting place for ambassadors, politicians, writers and celebrities including Charlie Chaplin and Jane Fonda. Recently renovated and extended, the hotel today has 362 elegant and prestigious rooms and suites, a swimming pool, fitness centre, and three restaurants – French, Vietnamese and Italian.

Last September, the hotel opened the Clarins spa, which features seven treatment rooms, each in a different style: Vietnamese, retro, neoclassical and Thai. There are even double treatment rooms where you can share your treatment with a friend or partner… perfect for your honeymoon!

Where A Girl Goes – opening party

Last night we attended the opening of Cristina Re’s gorgeous new boutique, Where A Girl Goes in Collingwood, and we were so enamoured with the stunning decor we just had to share some pics with you!

The who’s who of the creative and arts field filled what can only be described as every girl’s dream space – a mix of retro glamour and sophisticated shabby chic styling featuring beautiful pinks, greens, creams and blues and the most divine paper art we have ever seen! We particularly loved the delicate paper flowers in pastel vases, gorgeous printed boxes and the fantastic retro coffee machine fitted with with the latest digital technology, which creates delicious coffee to go – in sweet pink cups!

We’re predicting this will be quickly become Where The Real Weddings Team Goes for inspiration – so if ever you can’t reach us at the office, you’re sure to find us sipping lattes and immersing ourselves in the beauty of Where A Girl Goes!
