Aurelie and Thomas met at the tender age of 16 while at school in Sydney's North Shore, and during their Year 11 camp Thomas decided it was Aurelie's bag "he'd cart around forever." The couple talked about marriage for a long time, and when French-born Aurelie finished her studies in Paris, Thomas proposed.
