Rustic venues provide a back-to-nature ambience in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley. Weddings take place at several farms, resorts, wineries, and restaurants.

Hunter Valley Rustic Wedding Venues


Albion Farm in Woodville includes 100 acres of farmland and 15 acres of gardens. Albion Farm Gardens, available for photographs, include lake vistas, sandstone walls, rose gardens, and wisteria walks. Wedding vows are exchanged in a restored early nineteenth century timber barn.

The Mill Restaurant is located on the 26-acre grounds of Estate Tuscany, a resort that features Tuscan-style accommodation and amenities such as an onsite masseuse. Ceremonies in the Courtyard are followed by receptions in the restaurant or Fountain View Room.

Margan Restaurant & Winery, located in the village of Broke, features 100 hectares of vineyards. Wedding celebrations are hosted in the restaurant or winery Barrel Room. The Courtyard and Tasting Room provide space for pre-dinner drinks.

Wedding ceremony options at 75-acre Mulla Villa include an arbour, marquee, or the circa 1830 main homestead restaurant. Local historic churches are also available. Receptions at the Wollombi venue take place in the Cow Shed.

The entertainment area of the Peppers Creek Barrel Room is centred around a 5-metre wide stone fireplace. 3-meter high Indian elephant doors frame the entrance to the reception venue. Wedding vows are exchanged in a sandstone chapel set amongst the vines.

Peterson House is a Pokolbin winery that houses Restaurant Cuvee within its sandstone walls. The venue hosts wedding receptions in the restaurant, known for its Oyster Bar, and ceremonies in its gardens.

Tocal Homestead is a museum of colonial farm buildings dating from the 1830s. Wedding vows are exchanged under fig trees in the Homestead garden, in Blacket Barn, or in the Tocal Chapel at Tocal College. Receptions follow in the Heritage Hay Shed.

Wandin Estate is a 100-acre estate set on the slopes of the Molly Morgan Mountains amongst vineyards, lawns and bushland. Wedding receptions take place in Cricketers Pavilion. The estate features a cellar door and Tuscan style villa accommodation.
