Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa Merlin Beach Phuket Weddings

Overall, I had a great experience with the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa Nai Yang Beach, it closed to Phuket International Airport by the white Long Beach.The staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful with private cabana, clean, and perfect to spend time with family in Summer.

Perfect hotel (resort)
Very hot welcome + very tasty / refreshing local drink.
The service is just great , always with a smile , staff is always willing to help and assist with all your needs.
The pool is big and clean , also the pool area , you easily can find a quite place to yourself.
The near by beach is nice for walk but less for swimming, therefore bear in mind that it's better to go to other beaches in Phuket for a swimming (you have beaches near by)

The location is a bit far from the City center / Patong but very close to the airport (10 min driving) , so it's kind of tradeoff...

We had a car for the entire staying and it wasn't an issue at all , but you will need a ride in order to get to other places.

We had our wedding on the beach at the Marriott and it was a wonderful and perfect experience. Mew and the team went above and beyond to make the day perfect and personal for us, and even helped calm my wedding morning nerves about the rain! Although it didn't rain in the end, they were great at speaking to us about the different options for what to do, and making sure we still had our vision for the day. Mew was so helpful throughout the wedding planning process, and we really appreciated how flexible she was. The day of the wedding went so smoothly, we were able to fully enjoy the day without any stress. Thank you, Mew and everyone who helped make our day so perfect!

I had an exceptional experience at this resort, and I highly recommend it. The staff members were incredible friendly and accommodating.

There are many ants, but they are relatively well managed.
There is a problem with the late check-out system, but the resort has solved it well, so I am willing to visit again.
The spa at the resort is good. (About 120,000 won per person)

Big Fish Restaurant The lamb steak smells a bit, but it's edible, and the pizza and hamburger are very salty.

Andaman Breakfast Restaurant is very good,
Seal noodles, detox juice, multigrain bread were delicious, and there was an Indian guru. Breakfast is recommended.

I love it here! Amazing staff, amazing food, the poolside room is a must with kids and its shallow enough that my 5 year old can stand up in it. I cant say enough about how much my family enjoyed ourselves here.

Beyond my expectation. I had a great night of sleeping, the pillows and bedding, felt like a baby. The staffs are lovely, food and drinks are also amazing. Breakfast is very multicultural and a lots of choices. Will definitely come back again! Highly recommended

We stayed for 3 days before our flight since it is near the airport.
The resort is simply amazing, the swimming pools, the rooms, the staff.
They make sure that you get the best vacation. They care about the little details such as offering fruit skewers for those swimming.
The breakfast is the best we had in Phuket, They offer everything you might think of.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming.
They have many activities such as Kayaking, badminton, and Marshmello days.
They make sure that all the family members have fun.
We tried the Spa and restaurants there and they were all of high quality.
It was the best hotel to finish our vacation in Phuket.

Very good. It's in "Nai Yang", not in the city. But the atmosphere is very peaceful in a shady resort There is a private beach as an alcove, so the weather is good, a little far from the airport, but there is an airport shuttle. Good food, delicious. Choose a southern or seafood menu, not disappointed at all.

This venue is very beautiful and the staff operating the facility will treat your wedding event with a very high level of care.

The fitness room is really amazing! ! ! The fitness equipment is very complete for a hotel. In addition to water, there are juices and frozen towels in the fitness room.

It is highly recommended to stay here for 1 or 2 days if you fly late or leave early

I wish I couldve spent more days here than Merlin Beach. This Marriott resort has much higher quality of staff, service, food, beach, swimming pools and breakfast. The beach is particular in that youll have to walk long distance to be in the water but thats exactly where the fun part is. The sands are white, fine and agreeable. The plants are as usually beautifully done around the resort and automatically you feel zen inside. Weve got the villa and it was magic. I cannot recommend more of this hotel.

The resort is well appointed on a hill with nice views of the Andaman Sea. It's very close to Nai Yang Beach (there's a private beach right in front of the hotel). Rooms are tastefully designed, comfortable, and have all one may need (standard toiletries, a bath robe, slippers, etc.).

As we went to stay during the less of the tourists, there are lots of good things around, it has a large pool, the cocktail is nice and good. The service is excellent.

We got amazing experiences in this resort and enjoyed everything, from the best buffet breakfast with a wide variety tailor made based on our requests to great swimming pools for both kids and adults. The service is top notch and everyone are really welcoming, made us feel at home. Special thanks to Nargiz who supported us on our stay when we got a minor issue with bed arrangement due to our personal circumtances. We will definitely come back again!

This was a very nice and well priced hotel. The food here was really restaurant quality a step above many hotels restaurants in the continental U.S. The breakfast buffet here was amazing with eggs Benedict made to order and even an open kitchen where you can see many kitchen staff preparing items fresh for the buffet. This hotel also has free paddle boards and a large infinity pool that spans the property. Check in was an amazing experience with cold towels and a welcome drink and even a golf cart to my room.

Been to a lot of Marriott's and the service here is truly special. The staff is attentive to your needs, and they really make you feel at home. The hotel itself is really nice, I love the rooms, and the villas are a 10/10. The location of the hotel is far from the city, but it is extremely peaceful, which is exactly what I wanted. The food at the hotel is decent, but it does vary depending on which chef cooks that day. Andaman Kitchen and Big Fish are the big ones, but there is also Mama's Kitchen which I would say had the best food (small menu though!). Overall, I loved my stay here, and I honestly would come back just for the staff. I was sad having to say bye, but I have a feeling I'll be back!

Whoever wants to be away from the hustle and bustle of the world lives here, but take care of eating and drinking from the hotel, everything is once far from you

We had a really nice stay here on our first week in Phuket. Very friendly staff. Great room. Super sleep and one of the best breakfasts that we have experienced so far (you can even put together freshly squeezed juices). The employees of the (restaurant manager?) Manish made a particularly positive impression on us. Very attentive!

The room is neat and clean! We booked Standard room but unexpectedly they upgraded us to Pool view! This hotel has direct accessible to the beach.

It rained many times a day due to the raining season, but the overall experience staying in the hotel and the beach was awesome.

Exceptional Staying

Loved our last stay here. Kids club is superb. Pools are lovely. Food at big fish is good too. We especially love the fireplace by the beach to roast marshmallows. Will be back!

I had a wonderful stay at Marriott. I stayed there for 3 days and it was the highlight of my Thailand trip. The private beach, the incredible pool and the best things the restaurants. Trust me this place serves one of the best foods in the whole of Thailand, I got to try various cuisines but what stood out for me was their Andaman Kitchen, which offers an excellent choice in both buffet and ala carte. I got a chance to speak to their head chef Mr. North, who is a very humble guy and made sure he customised the taste to our Indian palette. He in-fact went out of his way to offer us some specialty Indian dishes which were not even there in the Menu. I would highly recommend this hotel and specially their Andaman Kitchen. Keep up the good work guys!

Quite and peaceful high standard of Marriott hotel. It took just 15-20 minutes from the airport.
Loving the view in the evening. There is a nice activity in the evening which is free mash mellow and magarita on the beach with acoustic live band around firewood. Breakfast is good too. Pool access room is recommended.

We went during the rain season and despite of that, our stay was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and you have views all around!

very beautiful sea

Driving up to the resort, one could be forgiven for mistaking the area for the countryside. If you want quiet and seclusion, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa Nai Yang Beach has it in spades. I was looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation away from the crowds; this resort and neighboring Nai Yang Town provided just that. If you want more to do, then best to stay in South Phuket instead.

I think the best thing about this resort, besides its layout and beachfront location, is the staff. Everyone was so exceedingly friendly and welcoming, from check-in to check-out, greeting you every single time they see you. When you meet people like Richard, Berdy, J-Ro, Billy, Nil, Bo, Bank etc., it becomes evident that they enjoy working here and take pride in their work. Thats a sign of a great employer.

The main pool is to-die-for and it makes for some great photos. They just need to enforce the non-smoking policy around the pool area better so that everyone can enjoy it. The waves at the beach come right up to the resort at high tide and retreat 50 m back at low tide. It is nice to look at but main Nai Yang Beach where the town is is better for swimming and other water activities.

One thing that they could have mentioned on check-in is the oil spill that affected the Northern beaches including Nai Yang Beach in early August. Even though there was a clean-up effort, there are still remnants of the oil in less trodden areas on the beach. I got some on my white sandals and the staff were very helpful in removing the residue as best they could.

What a special resort hotel. The property is very private, very secluded, you are about 45 minutes from the city, night life areas, but if you want peace and quiet, and space to decompress. This is your spot.
The restaurants are good and there is a good selection to choose from. Enjoy the drink specials. The pool is hypnotic and amazing.

The service staff is very good. And the spa was impressive. The view is beautiful. You can stay in the hotel all day. There are activities to do, it's quiet, the pillows are a bit soft and the entrance is quite deep. But overall, it's worth coming back to use the service again.

Perfect stay and getaway! Clean and comfortable! Direct access with the pool. The pool adjacent to the room access is not too deep, just 0.9m and perfect for the young ones. Just 10 minutes drive to the airport. Private location, quiet and peaceful. Check in and check out was less than 5 minutes. Came across a lot of friendly staff across the hotel from the desk, F&B, housekeeping and more. A great hospitality indeed. The morning breakfast was awesome. Plenty of selection and different menu daily. Not boring. Enjoyed the marshmallow bbq and cocktail followed by guitar singing at the beach. Enjoyed the food in the Andaman and Big Fish restaurant at night.
My family enjoyed the resort a lot and definitely looking forward to return in the near future! Keep up the great work Marriot Nai Yang!

A beautiful private beach hotel, quiet and has excellent service. Hotel facilities and room are clean and well maintenance. Beach is widely, just be careful of sand insects, theyre pretty small and painfully bite, you could have allergy to it!

The hotel is a dream. Very child-friendly, the service is great and overall perfect. The view is beautiful.
Depending on what vacation you are planning, there is ebb and flow here. People tend to use the pool. It's a bit of a shame but it was good with kids. There are two local restaurants here at the hotel, within walking distance. Otherwise everything else is very remote.
The hotel is perfect for a few days to arrive in Thailand, or to finish a few days here at the end of your trip.

I loved every moment of my stay! This service! The staff all the team is extremely and genuinely polite, very authentic. Nene from the front desk is a gem. She explained everything about the resort and always willing to help and share her suggestions regarding Phuket.
I was lucky to meet the breakfast chef who with the host were there for you to show you the signature dishes and talk to you about your preferences. They made you try and explore all the wonderful Thai food.
The hotel has 3 restaurants and we tried 2 and the food was 11/10 and again the wonderful and attentive service from the staff, 5* hospitality.
The room super clean, very well maintained.
Housekeeping team also great job with the cleaning and refreshing the room, seeing the details. The Thai touch of design and vibe was there so super nice! Swimming pool viewing the sea and the beach access. I cannot recommend this hotel more. I hope I will come back soon!

The hotel itself is really great with a fantastic pool and beautiful views. Breakfast selection is superb but restaurant options can be limited, however still decent.

Initially we had a pretty average room located a bit far from the pool so decided to upgrade to one with a private garden and direct pool access.

The beach is not for swimming but perfect for long sunset walks in shallow water. You can walk for 15 minutes to the town center but it can be very dark to walk back via the beach but doable. There are also 2 shuttle buses a day going during the daytime.

Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Phuket as the overall hotel quality is very pleasant and nicer than another Marriot chain we stayed at.

Hands down the best Marriott property Ive stayed at! The staff was amazing, service great and the food was amazing. The Andaman restaurant has great Thai food.
The hotel is located close to the airport but a little far from other attractions like Pa Tong and the Big Buddha. Advisable to rent a car when staying here to travel.

Gluten free breakfast options are available as well as in all of the restaurants (you just need to ask as the menu isnt marked) and the standard of food is very good.

A very special thanks goes to Jan, Ochim and Kit who set up our private beach dinner which was incredibly special. It is a moment we will never forget. Jan is probably one of the best servers we have ever met and nothing was too much trouble. Her English is also very good.

I told her, let me see if there is a Marriott in your area, I know they will help you. I booked her two nights at this hotel and called the front desk, to tell them the situation. They said on the phone, don't worry mama, send them over here, and we will take care of them. And boy did they. They gave them early check in as they were in desperate need of a shower. They helped them call local pharmacies to track down and get my daughters medicine. They took them in a shuttle to go get some basic clothes and supplies. I am a die hard marriott customer, and this is why. They always have excellent customer service, but the staff here went above and beyond, and I will be forever grateful. Thank you!!!!!

Great stay for the last 7 nights. Loved the fact that they have a kids club included in the price of your stay. Great place for the kids to stay cool during the hottest part of the day. Camp fires and professional musicians every Mon, Wed, and Fri. Great breakfast every day that was also included in our stay. Loved the service and the people there.

Beautiful resort, not too big and private feeling. Nice staff! They serve drinks in the pool!

The hotel had a dedicated nurse, so I was very helpful.

The rooms are clean and the staff are all very friendly. The resort's programs are well-organized, so there are many things you can participate in. The location is far from downtown Patong or Old Town, but you can just spend a day shopping. Instead, it has the advantage of being close to the airport.

The perfect place to relax for airplane lovers and the famous Spotter View Point of Phuket Airport is 4km away (accessible from the beach in about 30 minutes). The hotel itself is located in beautiful greenery and offers all amenities, including a 24-hour fitness room.

Its not often I say Ill go back to a country in a heartbeat, as a frequent traveller once Ive travelled somewhere once I dont tend to go back (big world out there, want to see all of it type mindset) however I left a little piece of my heart in Thailand, not just because of how beautiful the hotel, scenery and breakfast was. But because I met two staff members Breeze and Dee who have to be some of the nicest human beings Ive ever met! Their service was impeccable and unmatched. They couldnt do enough for me and my cousin, when they saw us their face would light up every time they saw us and without realising a friendship was formed. They are absolutely the main reason Id visit Thailand again, they are a credit to the Marriott in Phuket and a representation of the beautiful people in Thailand the people in the whole country are super friendly, hospitable and welcoming. By far the best trip Ive ever been on and worth every single penny! Thank you Dee and Breeze for making mine and my cousins trip to Thailand extremely memorable for all the right reasons. Will 1000% be going again!

An excellent 5-star option for a recreational holiday.

I do not write reviews and this resort prompted me to write one. This is probably the best location in Phuket if you are looking for a peaceful vacation with family. The ocean is shallow here and there are free kayaks and paddle boards to rent for hotel occupants. At low tide you can walk to the other side of the ocean for a breathtaking sunset. The morning breakfast is incredible and the 3 other restaurants on the property are also amazing! We drove all through the rest of Phuket and the city was pretty much slammed with tourists. This place felt quite and peaceful through our entire stay. Very close to the airport. Staff members are also very helpful. Thoroughly impressed, highly recommended. A little pricy but well worth the money.

The hotel itself is a little bit old, but it has tried its best to maintain it well. The swimming pool is very beautiful, especially the pool access room, which is very convenient and suitable for children to play. The sandy beach is soft and soft, but it is too shallow to play in the sea water. However, the location Being in a remote location, there is nothing to play nearby, so the hotel stipulates that the swimming pool ends at 19:00 and the kids club ends at 18:00, which is quite strange. It means there is nothing to do at night. The hotel is in this regard The decision-making can be more considerate of tourists, after all, because there is no other place to visit nearby! Otherwise there is nothing to do after 19:00pm. It is a waste of the facilities. And I wish hotel offers two King size bed since it's a five star hotel. We could not sleep well by using two twin size bed with 2 adults and 2 young kids. Staff are all Very kind and friendly! However, Chinese tourists violated the regulations and still played loudly in the swimming pool at close to 23:00 in the evening (this time was really too late), which disturbed other European and American tourists, who opened the door and walked out. I wanted to communicate with them, hoping they would be quieter, and mistakenly thought they were my children. I happened to be on the balcony and helped to remind the noisy Chinese tourists because I could speak Chinese, but they were still having fun in the swimming pool, which made me feel weird. Unexpectedly, I hope Chinese tourists can improve their behavior. If we were disturbed by other guests' noise and disturbed others, we would have felt very embarrassed and stopped immediately. However, they did not seem to have such an understanding, and the parents did not ask the children They stopped playing in the water, the children continued to play in the pool, and the parents continued to chat on the balcony until 23:00. They also shouted to their companions in other rooms in the swimming pool late at night. Such lack of international etiquette was really surprising!

The hotel is more than wonderful, the service is excellent, the breakfast is very varied, East Indian, Intercontinental, childrens meals, all kinds of donuts, corn flakes, and you can request a specific thing that they will provide for you.

Hi jus got back from a week at this resort ..stayed Feb 28- march5 2024 and jus wanna say our stay was absolutely amazing. Check in was a breeze we had Richard help us check in easily and also helped us out booking attractions and answering our questions he was amazing.. the hotel is big and beautiful. They have gold carts to take you to your room and pick you up if you don't feel like walking ( thank you Mr Breeze) we stayed in the swim out room and it was located right in the middle of everything which was perfect for us and the kids jus loved jumping off the balcony into the pool which also connects to the big pool.. The food was and fresh and delicious. The breakfast buffet is amazing with so many options. The beach is beautiful and there was a low tide so we had to walk a bit out there but one our last day it had come up and was right there as you walk out.Service was top notch and everyone was smiling definitely would stay here again .....

Amazing hotel. We stayed in villa 7 beachfront with private plunge pool. Beach is like a warm bath low water level safe for kids. Food is excellent buffet breakfast and three restaurants. Its isolated and quiet but they have a free shuttle into town. Drinks are cheap and tasty with happy hour two for one running from 3-8 across the bars. Fast reliable wifi across the entire resort.

Any person giving this place less than 5 stars probably have never given any establishment 5 stars. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and was blown away by this place. You will not be making a mistake staying here. The only reason I would ever give this place less than 5 stars would be to prevent it from becoming popular and then
unaffordable.

Sure, being away from the city center means the shopping scene's a bit low-key. But the local shops? They've got charm for days and the folks are so friendly, you'll feel like you're part of the neighborhood.

And when it comes to kicking back and relaxing, this place is the real deal. Trust me, you'll leave feeling like a ten out of ten. So, what do you say? Ready to book a stay?

We stayed for our honeymoon in a private pool villa and we had the most memorable week.
I was honestly torn between 4 and 5 stars, but had to give 5 in the end.
Why? The staff is above and beyond! Such friendly and warm hearted people working there. They do everything to make the stay memorable. I sincerely miss them already. Thanks to all of them.
Our villa was also impeccable and the whole resort is super clean and well maintained. A true five star hotel.

Why was I almost giving 4 stars were just minor things, which you could see as downside if you are very picky: you do hear the airplanes in approach from nearby Phuket airport, at least if you have a pool villa facing the ocean. It is not extremely bothersome, but also nothing that can be ignored. Also the housekeeping, which did a great job cleaning and tidying up (!) once or twice forgot to replace something. Again this is a very minor minus.

All in all, this is just a great hotel, which stands out.
Some more details which may be helpful and nice to know:
- the airport transfer was very smooth, we were greeted by a hotel staff member at the airport. You must book ahead, but it safes you the headache of organizing your own transfer
- the check in was great, including a cold towel and welcome drink.
- the hotel restaurants are good. Our favorite is the Andaman Kitchen. Also try the not so fancy but super good tasting food places further down the beach. It is worth it!
- there is a lot of life music on different days. On the beach ("sundowner") and at night in the restaurant area. Definitely worth checking that out. Very good vibes also with the other guests!
- there is a free shuttle bus 2x per day to the nearby town (where you could also walk to on the beach)
- there is quite a lot to do: beach and water activities (if the tide allows), free sport courses, Billard, cornhole, etc.
- the spa is also great and recommended

Amazing property. Excellent service. Staff are very helpful. Rooms great. Even the GM of the hotel was serving us during the breakfast and helping his staff clean up. Richard in the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Reservations team was very responsive on emails. Only down size, hotel is far from Patong and most the family activities (i.e. ATV, Zip Line, Elephant shows, Central Mall, etc.), but the greatness of the hotel made up for that. Highly recommend hotel.
