Steven works alongside the photographer, keeps track of where they are and which shots they're after, and moves out of the way quickly when needed.

Groom's party: ideally ready to get into their suits, or at least in pants and shirts, so they can finish dressing on camera when Steven arrives.
Bridal party: the bride ideally stays casual so the dress and jewellery can be filmed separately, while bridesmaids and family are ready to help her into the dress.
Depending on the notice, Steven offers a full refund or arranges a trusted replacement operator to film instead of, or alongside, him.
Yes, especially for the ceremony, speeches and bridal dance, so more moments are captured.
Usually, yes. Steven uses multiple cameras but generally works alone. Some weddings need a second camera operator for logistical reasons, and he suggests one where needed.
After the wedding, footage is copied to a secure hard drive with an off-site backup. Steven then edits the video and sends the couple a preview to review, with small adjustments if needed, before delivering the final copies.
Turnaround is 3–4 months after the wedding, and often sooner.
Steven usually spends about an hour at each preparation (sometimes longer with the bride) and arrives 30 minutes before the ceremony to set up. The rest of the day follows the photo and reception schedule.
Steven uses several recorders and microphones. A microphone recorder on the groom picks up the vows, and where possible he takes a direct feed from the celebrant or minister and the band or DJ, to have as many audio sources as possible.
Yes, a meal is required for Steven at the reception.
Packages start from $2,350 for 6-hour coverage, with most couples booking 8–10 hours from $2,550–$2,750. Full-day, 12-hour coverage is $2,950, and add-ons like Extended Highlights ($750) or a Full Length Documentary Edit ($800) can take a fully-loaded booking beyond $3,500.
A $500 deposit secures the date, with the balance due 2 weeks before the wedding.
