Hunter Valley City Wedding Venues


Cessnock Leagues Club has three function rooms to accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions. The club also features a sports bar and a lounge bar. For accommodation, Wine Country Motor Inn is adjacent to the club.

Grays Inn Wollombi, located in the centre of the historic village, is a nineteenth century sandstone Georgian building. Wedding ceremonies take place in the garden, followed by receptions in Panino Restaurant. Accommodation is available on the first floor of the inn.

Marina Views Function Centre on the Harbour is located in Newcastle, close to the central business district. Wedding ceremonies take place on a deck that boasts views of the city's picturesque harbour. The venue offers the option of arriving for the ceremony by water.

Merewether Golf Club is Newcastle's inner city golf club. The club’s function room and balcony overlook the park-like surrounds of the 18-hole course and gardens. The space offers city light views in the evenings.

Novotel Newcastle Beach hosts wedding receptions in the hotel’s function room which features floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel is close to King Edward Park, Newcastle Ocean Baths, and Civic Park Fountain.

Saint Peter’s Anglican Church, built in East Maitland in 1885, is available for wedding ceremonies. The building is highlighted by Gothic style arches, stained glass windows, and a high ceiling.

Completed in 1845, St. Michael the Archangel's Wollombi Church is owned by the local community. Catholic and other denominational as well as civil wedding ceremonies are performed. The Gothic sandstone church has a traditional stained-glass window above the altar.

St. Patrick's of Nulkaba is a non-denominational sandstone chapel that was built in 1892. The church provides space for wedding ceremonies while the landscaped grounds that surround it are an ideal backdrop for photos.

The Lucky Hotel is highlighted by Newcastle’s first authentic Southern American barbecue restaurant. Wedding receptions are hosted in The Courtyard, The Drum Bar, and The Champagne Room.
