How did you meet?

Met via online dating.

Tell us about the proposal.

We were overseas in Vietnam and had hired a “junk” to sail around Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. When the sun started to set Hayes came up to the upper deck where I was taking photos with a bunch of flowers and got down on one knee and proposed. He got one of the crew to take a video of the whole thing which was a great idea cos it was so surreal and happened so fast! I actually said... are you serious? Is this ring real? Omg, it is.....But is it insured?

It was so surreal and happened so fast!

How did you choose your Venue and location? Why?

I have been to Jonah’s a few times with my girl-friends so told Hayes about it. Hayes and I visited the venue and just loved it! And surprisingly affordable as well!

Tell us about your Gown(s) / Suit(s) (style, how you found it, what you loved about it). What about the the bridal party fashion choices?

Gown by Pronovias atelier; my sister in law Christine and my niece came dress shopping and chose the dress. Suit from Tailor Made by Oscar Hunt.

What Style / Styling did you choose for your wedding? (eg: colour scheme, flowers, stationery, cake, transport, details, themes, inspiration, the overall “look and feel”)

We wanted a simple, fun day ....so didn’t go overboard with the decoration but just a few nice pieces for the photos eg. Flower arch. We used marble coasters to let the guest know where they were seated and that was also their gift from us.

We also wanted to be different eg. We didn’t want a wedding cake so opted for a macaron tower instead and the guests loved it!

Tell us about any funny, poignant, challenging or emotional moments?

The whole planning process was challenging and we definitely saw the worst side of one another. But what doesn’t break you makes you a stronger couple.

Where did you go for your Honeymoon? Why?

Patagonia, Peru and Bora Bora. We wanted a mixture of adventure and relaxation.

Do you have any advice for other couples?

It’s normal to fight throughout the planning process and you might hate each other but you will look back and laugh at those memories.
