Rebecca and Adam's Wedding at Private Residence

Sydney, Australia

Adam Jacka met Rebecca Warren through work, and says it was love at first sight. He proposed during a romantic weekend away in Daylesford, and the couple agreed that Adam’s childhood home in Sydney would be the perfect wedding venue.

“We wanted to get married straight away, and planned the wedding in just three months! It felt so special to hold it at the place where Adam grew up,” Rebecca said. The five-acre property with its beautiful Monet-style lake lent itself perfectly to their vision of a chic, Hamptons inspired garden party held on a hot autumn day.  Guests happily sipped champagne and took in the magnificent scenery during a relaxed outdoor ceremony filled with lots of love and laughter.

And the bride looked equally divine in her romantic column gown with hand-beaded appliqué, accessorised with chic white Givenchy heels and a cascading bouquet of white roses, water lilies and snow berries.

“Wearing a white gown instead of ivory kept the look fresh and youthful; I felt like myself in it, and that was exactly what I wanted,” Rebecca said. “The boys wore navy suits, and the bridesmaids’ outfits were absolutely gorgeous too - the soft peach colour was flattering on both of the girls, and we were all so happy when we found them.”

Rebecca and her mum made rose petal confetti cones from old sheets of music bought at an op shop, and guests showered the couple as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.

“Walking into the reception was so much fun, and the marquee looked incredible - we wanted it to feel joyous and festive, so we chose whimsical flowers in an array of glass votives,” Rebecca explained. “We had three long banquet tables styled with long hessian runners, and sat in the middle of all our friends and family enjoying the sounds of a live saxaphone.”

Rebecca and Adam said they were glad that they decided not to have a wedding table; the evening went by so quickly, and they loved being surrounded by everyone during the three-course dinner.

“After our speeches, we were all on the dance floor dancing the balmy night away, it was the most incredible night of our lives,” Rebecca said.
