A romantic, candlelit dinner in a secluded hut on a private Mexico beach was the perfect setting for James Bartel to propose to the love of his life, Nadia Coppolino. The Style Co. recreated the relaxed resort-style getaway experience for the couple’s wedding day on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, with the late afternoon ceremony leaving ample time for Nadia and her best girlfriends to prepare at her Geelong home.
Nadia wanted to wear something that was “sexy yet classy”, and her exquisite bias cut sheer silk jersey couture gown was hand beaded with glass pearls and studded ceramic beads.
“In year 10 at high school, I had my debutante ball and I firmly told mum and dad that it would be the only time they saw me in a white wedding style dress so they had better remember it. This all changed when I met Jim,” she said.
Her future husband couldn’t stop smiling as Nadia walked down the aisle, and the couple exchanged heartfelt vows against a backdrop of rolling green vineyards. Post ceremony, it was time to get the party started, with The Style Co. team creating a relaxed lounge setting under a peppercorn tree fitted out with its own cocktail bar and vibrant blooms.
It was the perfect spot for family and friends to enjoy refreshing mint and lychee coolers and pina coladas served by chic wait staff dressed in rolled up chinos and open collared shirts. Guests were then ushered into a clear marquee dominated by a stunning roof installation featuring hundreds of bunches of green foliage, hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus and phalaenopsis orchids.
“The Style Co did an extraordinary job; I was quite fussy with my styling, as I knew exactly what look I wanted and the team mastered it perfectly - it was a glam resort feel with sea views to match,” Nadia said.

“It was epic, and definitely one of our favourite weddings we've ever created,” said The Style Co.'s creative director Marie Cruz.
Nadia and James shared their first dance beneath the stars on the open air dance floor, and family and friends waved sparklers as they farewelled the newlyweds, topping off an incredible day.

“We didn’t want to leave; it was everything we dreamed of and more, and it felt like we were both floating on air as every single element went to plan. We were both so happy,” Nadia said.
