When Ryan Hooper presented Allison Claney with a small white box on their fourth anniversary, her heart skipped a beat. “I excitedly opened it – only to find he had repaired an old necklace he bought me when we first got together,” she said. Seeing her disappointment, Ryan promised that one day, it would be a ring. But the love of his life didn’t have to wait long; after dinner that evening, the box reappeared - and this time, it did contain a ring!
The couple designed their own laser-etched wood veneer invitations which tied in with the rustic, earthy surrounds of their Yarra Valley venue. “The best decision we made for the wedding was to have it out of town,” Allison said. “Not only was it beautiful and remote, but it allowed us to arrange accommodation and transport for our guests.”

Softening the strength of the green and purple, the couple also introduced delicate white and off-white hues in their flowers, menus, table runners and place cards. It set the scene for a memorable reception, and Allison said she’ll never forget arriving at the reception to see everyone cheering, shouting and having a great time; “I knew then that it was time to relax and enjoy the party!”
