Quite the nice venue and the course menu is relatively affordable for a fancy meal in the Yarra Valley. Food tasted great for the most part, wasn't all that impressed by their desserts though. It took a while for the food to come out, but they were generous with seating time despite saying it was limited.

Desert was a smidgen late and staff made an accommodation was made. Excellent service.

My wife and I dined here last Sunday, June 11. It was our second time here and once again it did not disappoint us. The atmosphere and setting is magnificent, the food and wine fantastic and the service from the young staff was outstanding

Amazing restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere. Big place, attention to small details is there. It was fully booked however acoustic system works amazing and you can hardly hear other tables. We will be back thank you guys for the amazing service

Beautiful long weekend lunch - literally cant fault a thing. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and the wine superb. I dont know how we havent visited sooner. Thank you, we will be back.

I visited Coombe Yarra Valley for a friends wedding and was really impressed with the venue and estate!

The estate was the former home of Dame Nellie Melba - a famous soprano opera singer who is featured on the Australian $100 note. There is a statue of her outside the main building, and photos of her inside.

The gardens are well maintained, and the tall hedges make for a beautiful backdrop. The restaurant area is also really nice, with large windows allowing you to view the gardens.

Really love the spacious dining area and the service there. Went there in Feb and also in April, the menu seemed the same, and the quality are amazing both times.

I tried the kingfish for entree- fresh and light, perfectly paired with the Reisling!
For mains: first time I had the fish which was beautifully cooked, second time I had the beef ribs which is even more amazing, great with their shiraz
For dessert: I love scones, so both times I ordered the fluffy scones

The second time I bought my kids there and they realllllyyy enjoyed the kids menu (both the beef bolognaise and beef pie) and the bread that comes with it. The kids were too full to eat the icecream, but it was made of real vanilla bean!

House tour and high tea is highly recommended. Dame Nellie Melbas home (which has remained largely original) is a must see of Australian history. The guide was very good. High tea was delicious and service was excellent.
Bookings for house tour are essential and only occurs during the winter months. Garden tours start in Spring. Im sure that would be beautiful too as the estate is rich with history.

Update: Went back again! Had lunch. Lamb (for two) was absolutely divine! Wine was amazing and once again, would highly recommend!

Coombe Yarra Valley surpassed all my expectations as a wedding photographer for my business Carry Your Heart Photography. The venue's breathtaking beauty left me in awe. The picturesque landscapes, architectural marvels, and meticulous attention to detail made every frame a work of art.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every moment of the wedding day was flawless. The couple was able to relax and fully immerse themselves in the celebration, thanks to the venue's well-planned layout and the staff's attentive care.

Excellent foods and environment!

Did a wine tasting with Taylor, she is amazing and we had an amazing time!! Would recommend this to anyone!!!!!!!

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Coombe on a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was spacious yet warm and cosy.
Food was excellent and well priced for a three course meal while the children's menu used fresh ingredients and was well cooked, not the usual cheap and deep-fried alternative.
Service was excellent with the highlight being the lovely maitre d' who was genuine in her friendliness and hospitality.

Amazing spot. Driven past a lot but the cypress hedge never allowed a view inside. Well worth the trip. Did a house tour and lunch afterwards. Our tour guide, Rosemary, was very good and we learnt a lot about DNM. High tea was very yummy but you don't get tea. A bit weird.

All round a great experience. Food was excellent although deserts were not quite on the same level as other courses. Amazingly good acoustics... almost a full restaurant but not noisy! The service was enthusiastic but a little more training would help. Definitely will return!

We went here for my birthday lunch last Thursday and had a fantastic time .

We needed to pick a place that was relatively child-friendly with our little 13-month-old.

The food was great and it was just a relaxing time.

There was a staff member called Taylor who was particularly amazing and the sort of staff member that you would love to deal with at a restaurant.

Really nice premium hight tea, nice atmosphere with wood framed historic ceilings and the clock mechanism on display, delicious food, very nice experience highly recommended.
