For a truly amazing arrival at your ceremony, we have a variety of horse drawn vehicles pulled by our gorgeous Clydesdale horses. Our Executive Chef will produce a menu offering truly spectacular courses catering to suit every taste and budget.We can even make breakfast for you and your guests the following morning.
Our friendly staff will work with you and your fiance to ensure every detail of your wedding is perfect including transport to and from the grounds, activities onsite, catering options, wine selection, photography, decorating, entertainment and guest accommodation.
The Woolshed at Jondaryan, with over 150 years of history, is the oldest and largest operating woolshed of its kind in the southern hemisphere. The heritage-listed Woolshed building in Queensland, Australia, is situated on a 150-acre property, and Oakey Creek runs through some of the land. Today, the venue focuses on weddings and events.
Weddings at The Woolshed at Jondaryan
Weddings take place on the grounds or in one of the buildings. The Woolshed building accommodates up to 500 guests in both the Northern and Western Wings. A silk-lined, air conditioned marquee, complete with white candelabras, can seat 200 people. The Woolshed Café and deck, Flagstone Creek Hall, and Damper Hut are also available.
Wedding packages include the services of a Functions Coordinator. The venue’s kitchen accommodates as many as 1000 meals in one night, and breakfast for all guests the following morning is an option. A variety of horse drawn vehicles pulled by Clydesdale horses are available for arrival at the ceremony.
Accommodation and Tourist Attractions
The Woolshed at Jondaryan includes space for camping and caravan accommodation. Self contained cottages, rustic cabins, and dormitory-style Shearer’s Quarters are also available. Amenities include a bush kitchen with BBQs and an open fire pit.
Guests are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the Woolshed and museum village. There are over 30 buildings to explore, ranging from schools and halls to jails and cheese factories. An animal nursery is filled with friendly wallabies and other little animals.
