Awesome property to stay. Hyatt is so generous to its customers. I highly recommend their hotel statuses which can get you a nicer room if available. Many activities at this location. We loved the free morning yoga at the Napili gardens. Staff is super friendly. Japengo's food is awesome and do an early reservation; and to the Pacific drums of Luau.

This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a scheduled power outage on our first full day, which was communicated ahead of time. I felt that they did a good job with that. We had Club access, and for us, it definitely wasn't worth the extra cost. The eggs were powdered, but to be fair, that was the case at the regular buffet as well. We enjoyed the pools and access to the beach, with snorkeling right there. We attended the luau, which I would NOT recommend. The show was decent, but the food was sub-par.

The resort and staff were great! We had an incredible time between the pool, the location is right along the ocean shore making boardwalk access easy, food was great, the spa was decent, and the location was easy to get to for other activities we had planned. If you have a chance go on a property nature tour. One of the highlights of our trip and I wouldnt have expected to enjoy that as much as I did! Thanks for having us and well definitely be back in the future!

We just got back from a 4 night stay here. We had the best time! Rooms were clean and pretty, very comfy beds, and great amenities. We loved the gigantic pool and yummy snow cones. The towel machines were so convenient for the pool or to take for the day. The beach by the hotel is small and there was a drop-off in the water which made it unswimmable with the big waves. But there were plenty of other beaches around! Great stay!

This is a fantastic resort with premium location.

Our family of 5 just spent 5 nights here and could have spent another week! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms just lovely. No shortage or towels either. Just scan your wristband and grab them down the hall then drop back in the many towel returns when youre done.

Our kids loved all the included activities - lei making, bracelet making, hula lessons. Not to mention, all the great pool and food options. We especially loved the convenience of ordering food/drinks and having it delivered to our chairs. We saw so many sea turtles, whales, and even endangered monk seals right from the beach!

After staying at a couple of other resorts nearby, which were very nice, the Hyatt is our happy place. Yoga classes in the morning and a very nice gym to start the day. The golf course is walking distance and the only thing missing is an on-site (Hyatt Residence Club) restaurant. But the Swan Court is next door so a first world problem!

Beautiful resort & spa! My husband & I really enjoyed our 6 day stay here.
We were celebrating our 2 year anniversary & the front desk staff went out of their way to gift us something catered to us. Since we dont drink alcohol , they really put some thought & effort into it which means a lot to me.
The room was beautiful & house keeping kept it very clean.
We loved the animals everywhere, we called the garden area the zoo & it was our favorite path to walk through on the way to the beach. I love that the resort offers free classes & beach chairs & umbrellas. We saw turtles almost everyday!
I also really like that we have wrist bands instead of room keys. Makes life so much easier & convenient with being so active.
I cant think of a bad thing to say about this place.
Overall Id recommend & we will return.

It's hard to find something wrong with this resort. Absolutely beautiful. There was an issue with our room on check in but it was corrected within a couple hours however management followed up several times the next day and applied a comp to our stay that we feel was more than reasonable, very good service. So:
Pros:
Immaculate resort, the upkeep is unreal.
Location, tons of things to do within walking distance including whalers marketplace with tons of shopping and dining.
Upscale rooms and extremely clean.
Lua was on-site and excellent.
Cons:
Price, one of the most expensive resorts for everything like dining and drinks. We felt like it was overpriced compared to other resorts in the area.
Overall we will definitely go back, wonderful experience.

Beautiful & clean! Relaxing!

The staff are genine and welcoming. We loved the pool experience. Fantastic 100ft slide, swim through cave with bar and nice beach.

We honeymooned here two years again and went back recently. Its such a beautiful property with great access to a lot of things and a nice pool as well. We love this place and its easily one of our favorite Hyatt properties in the country.

A well deserved vacation time in a beautiful hotel with a spacious ocean front view room. Service staff members are courteous.

Beautiful!

My experience was remarkable from start to finish. The staff and facility were Amazing :)

Stayed 8 nights at this resort in May. We had the king ocean view corner room and loved it. There were two nice sized balconies and extra space in the room. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The parrots and penguins were fun to watch. And it was also an easy walk to Whalers Village from here.

This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure!

Parking is confusing while checking in.

Awesome hotel, great location and great staff. The whole vibe was very relaxed. The pools were perfect temperatures, only downside was the fun cave separating the kids pool and larger pool was under repair, but both pools were fully open.
Restaurants were a little busy, which slowed down service (except for Sonz Steakhouse, they had perfect service). Food was overpriced, but that was the same over the whole island.

A lovely location with updated rooms and many superbly thought out details, such as an automated system for checking out beach towels (a complimentary amenity) and water refill stations throughout for use with complimentary refillable water bottles - no plastic waste here. Beach chairs and umbrellas are also complimentary. Nicely landscaped.

We went for the luau. It came highly recommended and it was great!

Definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The ocean is literally 8 ft far from the hotel, three wonderful pools and jacuzzi, very family oriented and quiet place to come with your loved ones.

5 stars all around. We stayed 5 nights here using points. Amazing views, rooms, service, location. Beach towels and water refill dispensers available all around hotel. Self parking lot is easy and convenient. Beachfront from pool with amazing sunset views. Special shoutout to June who was so helpful and kind when helping us check in at front desk.

Only thing is pool service doesn't seem to be available around sunset, which would have been nice. But takeout from nearby pool restaurant is available, so can still eat at the pool and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

Also special note that if you forgot to book sunrise slots for Haleakala National Park/scared to drive in the dark like us, they have onsite booking for next day available onsite at hotel ($240pp, but worth it for the 8hr trip, with pickup right by hotel).

Clean and very friendly staff. Located 20 mins walk from Whalers Village which has great shopping.
Extremely convenient key system that has RFID tags on a band around your wrist so you never need to remember your room key!
Parking is a little steep at $25/day for self parking and $40/day valet but that would be my only complaint.

Great place to stay with family and enjoy the vacation at Maui island. In house shopping experience is nice.

Spent an amazing six days celebrating our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! Stayed in an ocean facing room allowing us to wake up and just watch the waves together. The staff were always friendly and can't beat the location, easy walk to Whaler's Village with shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to go back next year!

we stay here every time we come to maui and it never lets us down. great pools, friendly staff, exceptional food, beautiful atmosphere. we always get the regency club access but this time we were informed that it was all booked so if you are interested in regency club access it's best to book ahead.

We were thrilled with our stay at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Kaanapali. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was modern. The amenities were extremely nice, every detail was covered. Whether it was the pool and cabana services, or the concierge assistance. This hotel made our vacation relaxing and enjoyable. Particularly good were the restaurants on site. Japengo, Umalu, and the Swan Court buffet for breakfast all met our expectations for great dining experiences. The beach area in front of the hotel is clean and beautiful, and sea turtles were a common sight. My kids loved the parrots and penguins, as well as the ping pong and corn hole. Great stay, overall.

Heading back ASAP!

This resort is stunningly beautiful. It has several walking paths where you end up at the beach. The staff there, though , is what makes this resort so magical. During a very difficult time, they were absolutely amazing and pitched in to help those affected by the wildfires in every single way possible. Kindness at its finest.

The resort is GORGEOUS! in the lobby there are so many different kinds of animals, like in the morning there's birds, and full time there are Penguins and koi fish, the rooms are really nice, bother special but still nice. Housekeeping is amazing they clean your room every day and give you fresh towels. The outside is gorgeous. There are so many different 24-hour pools. There are many dining options, and it's so pretty. Overall, I would go here again!

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. It is overflowing with Aloha and they really appreciated that we were there. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are spacious and well appointed. They have an amazing pool. And we had the best filet mignon at the Sonz Restaurant there that we have ever had. If you are looking for top notch A+ facilities, this is your place!!

We are Hyatt enthusiasts and long time Globalists and the Hyatt Regency Maui met or exceeded our expectations in all areas.

Our group of 7 was upgraded to 2 ocean front rooms. The service from check in to departure was top notch. The valet parking was friendly and efficient. Owen, bell captain, helped with our bags and with recommendations for where to snorkel.

Penguin feeding, Lei making, and hula lessons were guys with the kids and adults alike.

Pools were really nice, although some areas are showing their age.

The breakfast in Swan Court was really good and included for us since the Regency Club was closed.

It was great to see the Hyatt using their facilities to support the fire victims. Regency Club was being used by Red Cross for fire victim response and one of the convention rooms was used for meal distribution. Also, many of the rooms were being used by people displaced by the August fires.

We can't wait to return to Hyatt Regency Maui.

The rooms were very large, and the bed was so comfortable! The grounds were immaculate and every single staff member was extremely polite, helpful, and thankful we were there. The Aloha was definitely felt here. Amazing resort, can't wait to come back again!

We stayed at the Hyatt to celebrate our son's birthday. The location is terrific, the staff were friendly and attentive. Our needs were fully met, would definitely recommend and will be coming back to this hotel in future.
Update: January 2024. There's construction happening in the pool area where they used to have a swim up bar. The grotto is completely closed off.

Location is key and this place is close to the ocean. Great pools and easy access to the ocean. Walk to great restaurants or drive to a local hike along the shoreline.

Only went here for the Drums of the Pacific Luau. Very nice venue.

Perfect location, right on a beautiful beach. You can wake up and walk a couple of miles on the sand, see whales from your room, eat at fantastic restaurants, and even walk the property to enjoy parrots and penguins. Easy walk to shopping at Whaler's Village or golf across the street. We will absolutely be returning.

Hyatt always have what we all expect, great service and beautiful decor.

Great stay, staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed - only exception was valet. There was a lady there that was not kind towards us.

The views were incredible, food was great RJ was at the poolside bar and took EXCELLENT care of us. Wow, can't thank him enough. Same goes to MC at the Japonesa. Big shout-out to him as well.

Its a wonderful place with lots of amenities and its right on the beach.

Clean, friendly, great views, amazing pool, they have penguins near the lobby . Rooms were clean. Food is delicious.

Checked in yesterday, but so far we are loving it!! Beautiful rooms. Great pools. Friendly staff. And the grounds are AMAZING. We went snorkeling on the beach and saw a turtle within 10 minutes. Great start to the trip!
